Mr. Milton Leroy Raglon

RAGLON, Mr. Milton - Age 75, passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at McLaren - Flint. Family hour 10:00 AM Thursday, July 24, 2025, from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM, Pastor Kenneth Gillard officiating Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home 10:00 AM Thursday. Mr. Raglon will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM-6:00 PM Wednesday, with family present to receive friends from 4:00 PM-6:00 PM. Mr. Raglon was Honorably Discharges from the United States Air Force. Milton Leroy Raglon began his journey of life at Flint’s Hurley Hospital on September 19, 1949. He was the youngest of eight children born to Otis Jr. and Naomi Ruth (McFadden) Raglon. He was a product of the Flint Public School System, attending Clark Elementary then Whittier Jr. High before graduating from Central High School in 1968. “Once an Indian, Always an Indian”. A true Indian at heart. After graduation he joined the United States Air Force and served until 1971when he was honorably discharged. He then went to work for Michigan Bell until the late 1970s. In 1978, he went to work for Mass Transportation Authority (MTA), the company from which he retired after 32 years of faithful service and membership in the Teamsters Local #332. He was one of only a few drivers to retire with a “no chargeable accidents” record during his tenure. Milton met Bernice Dziduch in 1977. On December 8, 1984, they were united in holy matrimony. Their union of forty plus years produced two children: Sarah and Eric. Milton was a proud dad and grandfather. Milton confessed his faith in Christ at an early age while attending Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church and spent his life devoted to serving the Lord. Milton was a die-hard Michigan football fan and stayed loyal to his team through all the victories and heartbreaks. As a very passionate sports enthusiast, he enjoyed watching all sports, especially all Detroit teams as well as the Summer and Winter Olympics. He was known for having some heated debates during rivalry week, and while defending his Lions through and through. But nothing made him prouder than watching his children play sports for his alma mater, the Flint Central Indians. His hobbies included fishing with his fishing buddy Keith Tipper, backgammon, bowling, golf, and playing poker. He loved to spend time with his family and friends. Making them laugh and putting a smile on their faces brought much joy to him. Milton was quick-witted, kept it straight with you, and always managed to land a joke even in the most serious of moments. He shared a deep bond with his dog, Venus, who was his constant companion and loyal friend. His last voicemail to the house was to check on and talk to Venus. He will truly be missed by all who knew him because he was “That Man”, who never met a stranger. He has left us all with cherished memories worth emulating. His life and legacy will live on through his children and grandchildren. Milton leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Bernice Raglon; daughter, Sarah Raglon (Carl Fuqua, Jr.) of Flint, MI; son, Eric Raglon (Samantha Whitehouse) of Santee, CA; four grandchildren — three granddaughters: Ryder Foster of San Diego, CA, Riley Whitehouse of Santee, CA, Carly Raglon-Fuqua of Flint, MI; and one grandson, Dominic Foster of San Diego, CA. He is also survived by one brother, Marvin Raglon of St. Joseph, MI; four honorary grandchildren: Alayna and Amiah of Flint, MI, Gianni of San Diego, CA, and Adrianna of South Pittsburgh, TN; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends. Milton was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Otis Jr. and Naomi Raglon; mother-in-law, Laura Dziduch; brother, Andrew Raglon; sisters, Ruby Raglon, Lois Raglon, Brenda (Raglon) Franklin, and Mary (Raglon) Washington; sister and brother-in-law, Patricia (Raglon) and Roger Marshall; sister, Sara Nichols; sister-in-law, Barbara (Turner) Raglon; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Don and Diane Durham; and nephew, David Jones.
