LORICK, Mrs. Millie - Age 69, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 8, 2006 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Family hour 11AM Wednesday, November 15, 2006 at Fairhaven Seventh Day Adventist Church, G-1379 W. Louis Ave., with funeral service commencing immediately at 12noon. Pastor Charles Osborn officiating. Interment Lovedale Memorial Cemetery, G-5175 E. Bristol Rd., Burton. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 11AM Wednesday. Mrs. Lorick will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd. Viewing: The family will be present and receive friends from 1PM-8PM Tuesday. Mrs. Millie Frances Lorick was born October 28, 1937 in Albany, Georgia, the daughter of Millidge and Ruby Williams (Allen) and Lown Allen Sr. (Daddy) who raised her from a young child. She came to Flint in 1943 and graduated from Central High School. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and was a member of Fairhaven Seventh Day Adventist Church. Millie loved the Lord and her family most and enjoyed cooking and reading. Mrs. Millie Frances Lorick leaves to cherish her memory: 8 children, Arletta Sylmon of Flint, Joanna Whitaker of Detroit, Kimbery Tyiska, Sunserria Lorick, Lown (Robin), Ronald, Cleveland Jr. (Stephanie), and Hoxseola ,"Tate" Lorick, all of Flint; mother, Ruby Lee Allen of Flint; brothers and sisters, Lown Allen of Flint, Mr. And Mrs. Millidge Williams, III. of Danville, Illinois, Lucious and Isom Williams, and Annverda Laird, all of Albany, GA, Ernest, James and Betty Allen, all of Flint, Marie and Frankie Allen of California; She also leaves to cherish her memory 27 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Margaret Lorick and Ruthie Allen; brother-in-law, Warren Lorick; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends including cousin, Louise White; special friends, Joan Winfied and Margaret Morris. Mrs. Lorick was preceded in death by husband, Cleveland Lorick; son, Gregory Lorick; grandson and a granddaughter; fathers, Millidge Williams and Lown Allen Sr.; 2 sisters; sister-in-law and 3 brothers-in-law.
