BURCH, Mr. Michael - Age 20, passed away Friday, September 18, 2009 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10AM Friday, September 25, 2009 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing immediately at 11AM. Interment Crestwood Memorial Cemetery, G-2020 E. Hill Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10AM Friday. Mr. Burch will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 12Noon-8PM Thursday. Mr. Michael Thomas Burch was born December 14, 1988 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Michael Burtenshaw and Annette Burch. Michael was a resident of Detroit, Warren and Flint, MI. He received his GED from Tower Enterprises. Michael worked various construction and labor jobs or whatever work he could get his hands on. His goal in life was to make at least one person smile a day. He loved to make people laugh and was always cracking jokes. Michael was very kindhearted and would give the shirt off his back if it were needed. His hobbies included playing with his nephew, Jr., playing video games, fishing and camping. Mr. Michael Thomas Burch leaves to cherish his memory: fiancee`, Heather Smith; parents, Michael Burtenshaw of Cave Creek, AZ and Annette Burch of Flint; grandparents, Benita and Richard Burch; 2 sisters, Laura Burtenshaw of Oklahoma and Angela Burtenshaw of Arizona; 5 brothers, Antonio (fiancee`, Tia Parks) Burch of Flint, David Burch of Arizona, Eric Burtenshaw of Texas, Jason Burtenshaw of Oklahoma and Zack Burtenshaw of Michigan; 2 nieces, Alexis Burtenshaw of Texas and Emily Burtenshaw of Oklahoma; 2 nephews, Antonio Burch, Jr. of Flint and Kyle Burtenshaw of Texas; 4 aunts, Debra “Dee-Dee” Burch and Linda Burch, both of Flint, Monica Curasco and Kathy Burch, both of Detroit, MI; 4 uncles, Anthony Burch, Alphonso Burch, Richard Burch and Uncle Chico, all of Flint; a host of cousins including, Mula, Sam, Nina, Josh and Lisa Burch, Arnesto, Jeff and Tony Gonzalez, Marcia and Sabrina Burch and Mario Harris all of Flint, Ponchito, Jimmie, Tino and Roxanne Curasco, Christina, Alphonso, JoJo, Mathew and Nina Burch, all of Detroit, Cody Burch of Missouri, Tina (Kenny) Peaz of Flint; Telisha Gonzalez and Wedo, both of Mt. Mr. Burch was preceded in death by his grandparents, Barbara Ingland, Herbert Burtenshaw and Bobby Burch; aunts, Margaret Ann Blackstock and Linda Burch; great-aunt, Juanita Pauline Gonzalez; and cousins, Arnesto Gonzalez, Dakota and Terry Burch.
