Mr. Merrill Flowers

FLOWERS, Mr. Merrill - Age 56, passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at his residence. Family hour 1:30 p.m. Thursday, March 5, 2015 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 2 p.m. Pastor Norman McLemore officiating. Interment Gracelawn Community Cemetery, G-5710 N. Saginaw St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 1:30 p.m. Thursday. Mr. Flowers will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12 p.m. - 8 p.m. Wednesday. Mr. Merrill Flowers was born February 12, 1959 in Flint, Michigan the son of George and Parthine Flowers. Merrill was a graduated from Northwestern High School where after that he started working for General Motors. He was a member of Joy Missionary Baptist Church. Merrill hobbies were working on race cars and loved vacationing with family. He was one of the kindest person ever to walk this earth, he had such a gentle soul and a huge giving heart. Merrill was just an all-around nice man. He loved his sons dearly and he absolutely adore his wife and daughter. His daughter was the apple of his eye and was so proud to have a daughter they were inseparable. Merrill had a happy easy going spirit he loved life and wanted to enjoy every day of it with his family. He will be greatly missed the world has lost such a spectacular, wonderful loving person and heaven has gained an angel. Mr. Merrill Flowers leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Sherry Flowers-McLemore; daughter, Ava’Nylee Londyn Flowers; 3 sons, Merrill Jr., Deion Flowers and Raheem Braggs; a host of grandchildren; 2 sisters, Lisa Flowers and Karen (Julious) Strange; brother, Tyler Flowers, all of Flint; a host of nieces including special nieces, Leetonia McLemore, Cheyanne McLemore, Shavon Flowers and Crystal Flowers; a host of nephews including special nephews, Cecil McLemore Jr. Marlow Morgan , Kelvin Smith Jr. and Keon Flowers; a host of cousins, uncles, aunts including special aunt Gloria Simmons; mother-in-law, Lee Esther McLemore; 3 sisters-in-law, Ester McLemore, Brenda Taylor and Sandy Thompson; 3 brothers-in-law, Norman (Lakeda) McLemore, James Taylor and Lawrence Thompson; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Richard Bridges, Simmie Moore, Andre Nunn and Sherman Carter. Mr. Flowers was proceeded in death by his son, Preston Flowers, parents, George and parthine Flowers; brother, Ellery Flowers; niece, Kamarie Flowers; nephew, Kelvin Smith, Jr. and father-in-law, Cecil McLemore, Sr. The family would like to express special thanks to Hurley Medical Center, Dr. Vemuri and Dr. Rao.
