CHRISTENSEN, Ms. Mauricia - Age 21, passed away Sunday, November 11, 2012 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 21, 2012 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11 a.m. Pastor William Brown officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. Ms. Christensen will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home., and may be viewed from 12Noon-8 p.m. Tuesday. Ms. Mauricia Danial Christensen was born May 26, 1991 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Angelita Christensen and Eric Dorsey. Mauricia was a member of Grace Missionary Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Flint Job Corps with certificates in Carpentry, Hotel Hospitality and Nursing Assistance. Mauricia enjoyed shopping and starring in the mirror. She also loved her red hair and her nails. Most of all she took pride in her family and friends, that is what made her happy. Ms. Mauricia Danial Christensen leaves to cherish her memory: mother, Angelita Christensen; father, Eric Dorsey, both of Flint; second father, Erik Itson; grandparents, Bernadette Keyes and Clifton Houston, Jr., William and Evelyn Brown; great-grandparents, Clifton Sr. and Odessa Houston; eleven sisters, Bryanna Wooten, Raven Laws, Erika Itson, Natria Richardson, Jamila Richardson, Jassmine McNair, Dominic Bruton, Aryanna Tate, Davinae Holmes, Ericka Dorsey, Mysha Newhnam; four brothers, Alfred Tate, Perion Mosley, Elijah Dorsey and Emonti Dorsey; two nieces, Miangel Scott, Myasia Newhnam; nephew, Demin Starks; three aunts, Delilah Eller (second Mother), Latonya Christensen and Lisa Richardson; four uncles, Armond Christensen, Ira Dorsey, Kenneth Dorsey and Joh Demski, all of Flint; special cousins, Timoya Wooten, Grabrielle Gullette, Naomi Holmes, India Holmes, Mykayla Kyles and Micheal Kyles, a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Ericka Garcia, Tera Wells, Francis Wise, Keela El-Amin and Kirstal Gaines. Ms. Christensen was preceded in death by her aunt Naomi Christensen; her cousins, Jordan Kyles and Johnathan Demski.
