Mr. Maurice Lavell Parlor Sr.

PARLOR, Mr. Maurice Lavell - Age 53, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2024. Family hour 4:30 PM Saturday, June 8, 2024, from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 5:00 PM. Interment Great Lakes National Cemetery, G-4200 Belford Rd., Holly, MI. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 4:30 PM Saturday. Mr. Parlor will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Friday. Mr. Maurice Lavell Parlor Sr. was born September 15, 1970 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Montena Davis. Maurice graduated from Northwestern High School in Flint, MI afterwards he joined the United States Army where he served for 10 years including 2 tours of duty in Iraq. Earning an Honorable Discharge. After returning home he began employment for General Motors Corporation. Maurice enjoyed spending time with his children and family, he LOVED going fishing, playing Dominoes, spades, making people mad and laugh all at the same time, oh and did we mention he "LOVED" going fishing. Mr. Maurice Parlor leaves to cherish his legacy: 9 children, sons, Maurice L Parlor Jr, Corrice Parlor, Martrell McNeal, Markell Homes, Allison "Bucky" Parlor, all of Flint, Maurkyce Barber of Kentucky and Torrence Parlor of South Carolina; daughters, Keyaira Hart of Flint and Tyrese Johnson of Virginia, also 2 bonus daughters, Keyona Hart of Flint & Telia Dinkins of Alabama; mother, Montena Davis of Flint; 3 brothers, Alton White Jr., Larry White, all of Flint and Curtis Harris Jr, of Conway, AR; sisters, Angelina (Richard) Harris-Turner, Katrina Harris, Ladon White, all of Flint and Veronica Harris-Seely of Hemlock, MI; bonus Sister, Tammy Phillips of Little Rock, AR; 11 grandchildren expecting another, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends including his childhood best friend/brothers "Bo" Frank Allen Jr & Milton "Huffy" Allen, and Ruth Street family forever. Mr. Parlor was preceded in death by his fathers, Alton White Sr. and Curtis Harris Sr.; grandparents, Geogeanna Dandle, ST Barnes and Fannie White-Bell, Maxine Parlor and Allison Parlor; favorite cousins, Floyd Ross Jr. and Willie "Teeweezy" Ross; niece, Trinity Turner; grandson, Kyair Lavell Hart; and many other loved ones that was dear to his heart.
