WILLIAMS, Sis. Mary Ann “Madear-Aunt Mary” - Age 79, formally of Maple Street, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2010 at her residence. Family hour 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 23, 2010 at Shiloh M.B. Church of Flint, 502 Leith St., with funeral service commencing at 11 a.m., Pastor Daniel Moore officiating. Interment River Rest Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Sis. Williams will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12Noon-4 p.m. Friday. Afterwhich, Sis. Williams will be taken to Shiloh M.B. Church of Flint for a Candlelight Service under the auspices of the International Free and Accepted Modern Masons, OES from 6-7 p.m. Sis. Mary Ann Williams was born April 5, 1930 in Lansing, Michigan, the daughter of Emanuel R. Parker III and Mary Polly Williams. Mary Ann came to Flint in 1932, where she united with Blackwell AME Zion Church and confessed Christ at a very young age. She joined Shiloh M.B. Church of Flint in July 1954. While at Shiloh, she was a member of the Trustee Board, Eleanor Allen Choraliers (EAC’s) and the Birthday Club. Sis. Williams was the bookkeeper for Shiloh for over 25 years until her resignation due to illness. She was a member and Past Worthy Matron of Marian Anderson Chapter #4, O.E.S. (20-year member) of International Free and Accepted Modern Masons. Sis. Williams was also Past Grand Assoc. Matron of Edith Sampson Grand Lodge of Michigan and Past President of District #2. Sis. Mary Ann Williams leaves to cherish her memory: daughter, Bobbie Ann Wells; son, Clifford “Butch” Williams; nieces and nephews raised as her children, Charlotte (Calvin) Greenard, Betty Louise March-Bryant, Joseph (Geraldine) Langston and Stanley Langston, all of Flint; foster son, Davie (Lisa) Love; adopted daughter, Evelyn Barton; grandchildren, Lionel Wells, Marcy (Braxton) Wells-Davis, Albert (Denise) Wells, Belinda Ann Wells, Dwayne Carroll, Gregory (Karla) Barton, Ronald (Alyaa) Barnett, Bridgett Overton, Sheldon and Nigel March, Joanna, Katina, Monica, Roshanda and Joe Langston, Lashawn and Antwaun Chaney; 26 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren. Sis. Williams was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Betty Jean Langston and Esther M. Parker; brothers, Robert Frank Williams, Aubrey “Pete” Williams, Bennie Williams, Emanuel “Junior” Parker, A.D. Parker and D.Essie Parker; and nephew, Charles Langston.
