Mrs. Mary "Jackie" Mollay-White

MOLLAY-WHITE, Mrs. Mary "Jackie" - age 80, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2014 at her residence. Family hour 11 a.m. Thursday, July 17, 2014 at Christ The King Catholic Church, 1811 Seymour Ave. with celebration mass commencing at 12 p.m. Father Phil Schmitter officiating. Interment River Rest Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 11 a.m. Thursday. Mrs. White will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd. and may be viewed from 2 p.m.-8 p.m. Wednesday. Ms. Mary “Jackie” (Mollay) White was born October 12, 1933 in Flint, Michigan. She is the daughter of Clarence and Mary Ellen Mollay. “Jackie” attended Clark Elementary School, Whittier Junior High School and was a graduate of Central High School. She also attended Flint Junior College. “Jackie” retired from AC Spark Plug in 1991. She was an avid reader, collector of dolls and in her most recent years, she found a love for computer games. In her earlier years “Jackie” was a league bowler, a card player and loved crocheting. She could also often be found at the casino. She was baptized and a lifelong member of Christ the King Catholic Church. Ms. Mary “Jackie” (Mollay) White was previously married to Jimmie L. White, her friend and father of her children. Out of that union, she leaves to cherish her memory: 2 daughters, Antoinette “Toby” Scott of Swartz Creek, MI and Kathleen “Tess” White, of Flint; 3 grandchildren, Terria (Adam) Kurtz of Grand Blanc, MI, Mark (Roshelle) Scott of St. Louis, MO and Tifini (Lamar) Rahmaad of Tucker, GA. “Jackie” leaves 3 great-granddaughters, Teylyn Neal, Ayrianna and Aniquiana Kurtz; great-grandson, Kaden Rahmaad; 3 sisters, Constance (Berlin) Dobson of Flint, Dianne (John) Johnson of Grand Blanc, MI and Monica Latham of Laurel, MD; special sister-in-law, Janet Mollay of Lansing, MI; 2 cousins, Lorne’ (Don) Moran and Tyra Duncan-Hall, all of Austin, TX; beloved god-daughters, Patricia DeShazor of Celebrations, FL and Celene Sym of Annapolis, MD; numerous nieces and nephews, a host of other relatives and many cherished friends especially Agnes Garrett, Vancie McCain and Nellie Pickney. Ms. White was preceded in death by her son, Anthony “Tony B” White; parents, Clarence and Mary Ellen Mollay; brother, Clarence “CB” Mollay; and loving uncles and nephews. The Family of Ms. Mary “Jackie” White appreciates the many kind expressions of love and concern extended to them during this time of bereavement.
