Mrs. Mary B. Green

GREEN, Mrs. Mary B.- Age 77, passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at her residence. Family hour 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 13, 2013 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11 a.m. Pastor Henry Jamerson officiating. Interment Lovedale Memorial Cemetery, G-5175 E. Bristol Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. Mrs. Green will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday. Mrs. Mary B. Green was born September 29, 1935 in Bourbon, Mississippi, the daughter of John and Laura Brantley. She attended Bourbon Schools with her sibling. Mary later moved to Flint, MI with her family in 1977, where she resided until her Homegoing. Mary accepted the Lord into her life before her departure. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Mary was a loving person who would give you her last if needed. She leaves to cherish sweet memories: 5 daughters, Katie (Pastor Henry) Jamerson of Grand Blanc, MI, Hazel Green, Laura Green, Pearlene (Gregory) Brown, all of Flint and Sheila (Rev. Ronald) White of Arizona; 6 sons, Otis Green, Jr. (Bridget) of Chicago, IL, Artis Green, Terry Green, Rufus Green, Anthony Green and Cedric Green, all of Flint; step-son, Roosevelt Moore of Chicago, IL; 39 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; sister, Mattie Spears; 5 nieces; 2 nephews, all of Oakland, CA; 3 sisters-in-law, Doris Johnson of New York, Annie Horton and Ida Foster; brother-in-law, B.J. Green, all of Chicago, IL; a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and friends including special friend, Mrs. Nancy. Mrs. Green was preceded in death by her grandson, Micheal Jones; parents, John and Laura Brantley; twin sister, Martha Brantley; 2 brothers, Arcell and Charlie Brown; and nephew, Micheal Spears. The family would like to express special thanks to Genesys Hospice staff, all the caregivers for their excellent care provided, Rev. Ronald White, Pastor Henry Jamerson and the Pentecostal Tabernacle Church family for their prayers and support.
