BROWN, Mrs. Mary Lee (Edwards) - Age 71, passed away Monday, June 16, 2008 at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral service 11AM Monday, June 23, 2008 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd. Pastor Johnnie Kidd officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home 11AM Monday. Mrs. Brown will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 12Noon-8PM Sunday. Mrs. Mary L. (Edwards) Brown was born April 2, 1937 in England, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Leola Johnson and Elbert Edwards. Mary graduated from Flint Central High School. She worked at Warwick Hills Country Club in Grand Blanc as a salad girl. Mary loved her family and playing Bid Whist. She leaves to cherish her memory: Fiance’, Tommie Williamson; 2 daughters, Wanda (Jerome) Kelly and Samantha (Raymond) Johnson; 3 sons, Jimmie (Barbara) Hudson II, Paul and Isaac (Tina) Hudson; 3 stepdaughters, Patricia (William) Sampson, Cynthia Brown, all of Flint and Brenda (Jerry) Person of Tuckerman, AR; 4 stepsons, Ronnie (Artice) Brazwell, John Fleming, Charles (Vanilla) Brown, and Stanley (Shirley) Brown, all of Flint; 52 grandchildren; numerous great and great-great grandchildren; sister, Rosetta Johnson of Little Rock, AR; brother, James (Rita) Barbee of Flint; uncle, Roosevelt (Kathy) Robinson of Las Vegas, NV; many cousins including special cousins, Johnnie Johnson, Jr. and May Jewel Chapman; a host of other relatives and friends including special son, Curtis (Lurlene) Brown, special daughter, Crystal Fisher, best friends, Carrie Applewhite, Deloris Evans, Mary Kidd and The Silver Foxes. Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husband, Claude I. Brown, Sr.; sons, Claude I. Brown, Jr. and Aaron Hudson, Sr.; and nephew, James Johnson.
