WATSON (V.C.), Mr. Marvice C. - Age 49, passed away Thursday, January 7, 2016 at his residence. Family hour 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 19, 2016 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 2 p.m. Elder Stephen Boone Sr., Officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. Mr. Watson will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12 p.m. - 8 p.m. Monday. Mr. Marvice C. Watson “VC” was born February 19, 1966 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Rebecca “Bonnie” Watson and Eddie Williams, Jr. “VC” gave himself to the Lord and graduated from Flint Central High School, “Class of 1984.” He served in the United States Army Reserves. “VC” loved and cherished his 2 children, family and friends. He would do anything for anybody and he was just a phone call away. “VC” also loved his job at Venture where he was a painter for 12 years. He enjoyed Mayo/Ketchup sandwiches, watching cartoons, building Lego Blocks, drawing and dancing. “VC” was a great bowler with his friend, Ed Goosby. He liked to joke and play around always smiling and having a good time. “VC” was a neat freak, but most of all he was a sharp, clean dresser wearing his Zoot Suits. It didn’t matter if it was 100 degrees, “VC” would be wearing one of his Zoot Suits. Mr. Marvice C. Watson “VC” leaves to cherish his memory: daughter, LaRasia Watson; son, Gregory Watson, both of Flint; father, Eddie Williams, Jr. of Grand Rapids, MI; step-mother, Marcia (Stephen) Boone of Flint; 2 grandfathers, William Marchbanks of Mt. Morris, MI and Eddie (Luticia) Williams, Sr. of Saginaw, MI; 4 sisters, Renato and Keia Watson, both of Detroit, MI, Tammy and Malinda Williams, both of Atlanta, GA; 2 brothers, Shujaa “Scooby” Watson of Flint and Eddie Williams III of Grand Rapids, MI; 4 aunts, Marquetta “Pat” Watson of Detroit, MI, Billie Sharon Martin and Helen Gladney, all of Flint and Nikia Spiller of Mt. Morris, MI; god-mother, Marcia (Stephen) Boone of Flint; 14 nieces; 8 nephews; a host of cousins including special cousins, Richard and Moe; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Kenny, Walt P., Joey, Rick, Emmitt, Ed, Will and Curtis Carr, Nicole Lassiter, Drake, Antwan and Maurice. Mr. Watson was preceded in death by his mother, Rebecca “Bonne” Watson; grandmothers, Rebecca “Becky” Watson and Beatrice Williams; great-grandmother, Arizona Watson; aunts, Linda and Beatrice; great-great-aunt, Camille Clark; great-great-great-aunt, Lucielle; uncles, Leon, Lenny and Willie; cousins, Ethel, Neil, George, Thomas, Tash, Santana, Herb, Lenal and Lil Lenny; step-mother, Janice Williams; step-grandmother, Evonne Marchbanks and god-brother, Darryl Jones. The family would like to express special thanks to Renee Anderson, Barbara Biggs, Nicole Lassiter, Marcia (Stephen) Boone, and the Williams family.
