HENRY, Mrs. Marscella "Mott" - Age 85, "To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under Heaven, therefore judge nothing before the time" Ecc. 3 and 1st Cor. 4:5. Family hour 10AM Monday, January 31, 2005 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing immediately at 11AM. Bishop Roger L. Jones, Sr. officiating. Interment Lovedale Memorial Cemetery, G-5175 E. Bristol Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10AM Monday. Mrs. Henry will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 10AM-8PM Sunday, January 31, 2005. A time to be born: Marscella Hamilton was born on New Year's Day, January 1, 1920 in Lisbon, Louisiana, Claiborne Parish, to Ardella Hay and Sanford Williams Hamilton. She was reared among 25 other siblings. A time to Die: On Friday, January 21, 2005 at Hurley Medical Center with much great determination and appreciation of life, Marscella quietly flew away with the Lord to rest after a long stay in the hospital. Love ones were present to see her off on this journey. A time to plant: Early in life, Marscella accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and joined Salem Church in Lisbon, LA. She attended Salem School in Lisbon, LA and participated in many relays. She pioneered to Flint with her family in the 1940's and joined in Fellowship with the Galilee Baptist Church and was baptized by Pastor McClain; then at it's inception, Marscella joined the Mt. Hermon Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor A.V. Henry, her brother-in-law. Mrs. Marscella "Mott" Henry was a resident of Edmund St. for over 50 years. Throughout her life she sowed love, kindness, goodness, and forgiveness. Marscella being the sweet and beautiful person with a giving heart, and did not meet "Strangers". She would not turn down no one, reaching out to help anybody, and opened her doors and heart to people providing food and shelter, giving hope to those in need. A time to love: Mrs. Marscella "Mott" Henry showed her love. She was a devoted wife, mother, grand, great, great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend to those God gave to her. Being an outstanding homemaker, she loved her gardening and fellowshipping with family, friends, and especially with her grands, brothers and sisters. She loved fishing, and won 1st Place Trophy on the Domino League at Berston Field House and had grand prizes, for strength for her loved ones. Marscella baby-sat lots of grands, greats and children in the neighborhood. A time to mourn: Mrs. Marscella "Mott" Henry has on earth for her Glory to God Celebration: 2 daughters, Mrs. Floria B. (Henry) Crockett, Evang. Arlivia "Lia" Henry-White of Flint; 2 sons, Joseph A. (Judy Sims) Henry of Flint, Louis T. (Beverly) Ford of TX; 3 step-sons, Bobby (Beth) Henry of Flint, Robert G. (Gloria) Henry, Jr. of TX, W.L. Dawson-Henry of LA; 30 grandchildren including David C. (Betty) Henry of Indianapolis, IN and Vonda K. Ford of Flint, whom both she raised; 55 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Lorell Franklin of LA, Dellamae (Hon) Walker of CA; brother, C.L. (Beritha) Hamilton; personal "adopted" sons including Leonard Buggs (Cousin), Henry ?Oop? Denson, Hozea Chappell and Theo Burse; sisters-in-law, Mrs. Elowese Henry, Mrs. Alvira Henry, and former sister-in-law, Rosa Lee Ford; nieces, nephews, cousins; and a host of friends and relatives including Dea. Walter Jones, the Edmund St. neighbors, Ms. Lucille Miller, Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy and Naomi Click and all her children and grands friends. Mrs. Marscella "Mott" Henry was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Mr. R.G. "G-MA" Henry; 3 sons, Charlie T. Ford, Milton Henry, Franklin R. "Rosey" Henry I; grandson, Stacy R. Callahan; 2 great-grandchildren, "Baby" and Demetrius R. Williams; 22 sisters and brothers, including Hattie, Richard, L.T., Robert, Chester, A.C., Gladys Hamilton; and many aunts, uncles, cousins; nieces, nephews, in-laws, other relatives and friends. To God be the Glory, In all things we give thanks to all of her doctors, the 4th Floor ICU, C.C.U., P.C.U. Nurses, the Emergency Team and medical staff. A special thank you to our church families, the Greater Holy Temple Ministries C.O.G.I.C, and Bishop Roger L. Jones, Sr., St. Mark M.B. Church and Dr. J.S.
