HENDERSON, Mr. Mark - Age 57, passed away Sunday, March 10, 2013 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 16, 2013 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Seon Thompson officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Mr. Henderson will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed 11:00 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. Friday, with the family present from 4 p.m.- 6:00 p.m. Mr. Mark David Henderson was born December 10, 1955 in Flint, Michigan , the son of Cornelius, Vivian (Kleckley) Henderson & Douglas Arthur. He graduated from Flint Northwestern High School “Class of 1974.” Mark was employed at General Motors Corporation retiring in 2006. He was a loving and caring person who had unstoppable love for everyone. Mark liked gardening, sports, being around family and enjoying the cookouts. He was like a father to all his nieces and nephews; that is why he carried the name, “The Godfather.” Mark’s one saying would always be “Don’t make me go back to my old ways” for those who remember him. Mr. Mark David Henderson leaves to cherish his memory: son, John Vaughn; 4 sisters, Deborah (Gary) Keyes, Vickie Jackson, Tammie Henderson and Denise Arthur; brother, Kevin Henderson; 5 nieces, Toya (James) Martin of Settle Creek, FL, Givaunni Jackson, Chinara Arthur, Brittany Henderson and Ashley Henderson; 6 nephews, Chris (Rose) Keyes of Ypsilanti, MI, Gibraune Hobson, Chaz Forte, Delaney Gaines, Dustin Gaines and Delon Willis; 7 great-nieces, 1 great nephew, 1 great-great-niece; uncle, Clarence Henderson; brother-in-law, Gary Keyes; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends including special friends, Greta McFarland, Teena Agee and family, Diane Poplar, Larnell Johnson and the E. Philadelphia St. families. Mr. Henderson was preceded in death by his daughter, Latika Henderson; mother, Vivian Arthur; father, Cornelius Henderson; grandparents, RB and Thelma Kleckley; nephew, Dakarai Grover.
