HILL, Mrs. Marilyn - Age 56, passed away Monday, June 1, 2009 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10AM Monday, June 8, 2009 at Bethel AME Church, 773 Gillespie St., with funeral service commencing at 11AM, Prince Charlie Poole officiating. Rev. Dr. Darren Penson, pastor. Interment River Rest Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10AM Monday. Mrs. Hill will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 10AM-6PM Sunday. Mrs. Marilyn Hill was born August 11, 1952 in Birmingham, Alabama, the daughter of Robert and Earlene Williams. Mrs. Hill attended Flint Public Schools and graduated from Flint Northern High School, “Class of 1972”. She attended Mott Community College, where she earned an LPN Nursing Degree. Mrs. Hill was employed by Genesys Regional Medical Center and various nursing facilities. Mrs. Hill was formerly married to Mr. Joses Tommy Dye, Sr. and to this union two children were born, Shenita Rochelle Dye and Joses Tommy Dye, Jr. She later married Zegogery Bernell Hill and to this union one child was born, Ann Liquia Hill. Mrs. Hill was born and raised into Triump The Church and Kingdom of God In Christ, where she was an active member. Mrs. Hill held several positions within the church, including Shepherd Mother, County Mother, State Youth Supervisor, and Assistant State Mother. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, loving and supporting her family and friends. Mrs. Marilyn Hill is survived by: husband, Zegogery B. Hill; two daughters, Shenita Dye (Jeffey Glover) and Ann Hill; son, Joses Tommy (Amanda) Dye, Jr.; five grandchildren, Morisha Adams, Anthony Dover, Jr., Makyo George-Dye, Azaryah Dye and Lucas Dye; great-grandchild, Calvion Woodberry; grandmother, Hattie Whitt of Flint; three sisters, Edna Harrison of Houston, TX, Deborah (Bruce) Strong, and Paulett Williams; five brothers, J.D. Steward, Thaddeus (Linda) Williams, Alonzo Williams, Robert Williams of Los Angeles, CA and Paul Michael (Jeanette) Williams; sister-in-law, Lolita Hill; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Mrs. Hill was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Earlene Williams-Crittenden; grandparents, J.C. and Irandy Nettles; sister, Stella Ely; brother, Roosevelt Williams; 1 niece; 2 nephews; aunt; uncle; mother-in-law, Ann L. Hill; and sister-in-law.
