ALEXANDER, Mother Margree - Age 78, passed away Friday, September 16, 2022, at her residence. Family hour 10:00 AM Friday, September 23, 2022, at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 2109 Martin Luther King Ave., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM Pastor Rodney Ellison, officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:00 AM Friday. Mother Alexander will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Thursday with family present from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM to receive friends. Mrs. Margree Alexander passed away Friday, September 16, 2022 at her residence at the age of 78 years old. Mrs. Alexander was born October 24th, 1943 in Dyersburg, Tennessee, the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Mack and Belvie Wynne.Margree moved to Flint, Michigan in the early 1960’s where she met and married Willie Alexander on September 1, 1972. She was employed at General Motors Corporation and was a member of UAW Local #599, where she retired in 1981. Margree was a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. She loved listening to Gospel Music, watching her favorite show, Walker Texas Ranger and she loved her plants. Mrs. Margree Alexander leaves in God’s care: 2 children, son, Kevin Alexander; daughter, Sonya Williams; 2 sisters, Louise Ray and Lovie McGaughy; sister-in-law, Jean Wynne, all of Flint; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including special friend, Debra Payne of Columbus, OH.Mrs. Alexander was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Willie Alexander; parents, Mack and Belvie Wynne; sisters, Odessa Webb, Bea Woodson, Gladys Reeves, Almetra Carter, Dorothy Bibbs, Loretta Grant and Virginia Berry; brothers, O.T. Wynne, Roger Wynne and Mack Wynne Jr.; sisters-in-law, Louella Wynne and Dorothy Wynne; brothers-in-law, James Reeves, Joseph Carter, Joy Woodson, Bernard Grant, Clarence Berry, Archie Bibbs and Elbert McGaughy Sr. The family would like to express special thanks to Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church family, the Medical Team at McLaren-Flint, Carewell and Kindred Hospice.
