WESLEY, Mrs. Margaret Jean - Age 64, passed away Monday, November 13, 2006 at Avalon Hospice. Family hour 12Noon Saturday, November 18, 2006 at Detroit Street Church of God, G-5328 Detroit St., with funeral service commencing at 1PM. Bishop Herbert Dudley officiating. Interment Gracelawn Community Cemetery, G-5710 N. Saginaw St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 12Noon Saturday. Mrs. Wesley will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12Noon-8PM Friday. Margaret Jean Wesley was born February 19, 1942 in Thayer, West Virginia, the daughter of Solomon and Jean Woodson. Margaret resided in Flint, Michigan. She graduated from Excelsior High School in Excelsior, West Virginia. She was a devoted wife of 40 years, who lived for her family, loved cooking, helping her grandchildren with their homework, playing cards and just enjoying life. Margaret went by many names; "Mahen", "Nanny", "Happy", "Big Sis", and "Tootsie". Mrs. Margaret Jean Wesley leaves to cherish her memory: husband of 40 years, Donald L. Wesley, Sr.; 3 daughters, Sheryll (Tommie) Miller, Pamela Padgette and Audrey (Anthony) Horton; 2 sons, Charles (Rene') Padgett and Donald Wesley, Jr.; 18 grandchildren, Shawn Padgette, Latoya Stevenson, Deaundric Wesley, Brittney Wesley, Anthony Hartwell, II., Tommie Miller, Jr., Monique Wesley, Quanika Wesley, Drayon Reed, Ta'asia Davis, Maleeka Hartwell, Quintessa Wesley, Tianna Miller, Trishonda Wesley, Nathaniel Hall, Anthony Horton, Jr., Ciera Wesley and Ta'Kira Hodge; great-grandchild, Tikiya Wesley; mother, Jean Woodson; 2 sisters, Delois C. Woodson of Flint and Mae Helen (Tyrone) Adams of Portsmouth, OH; 4 brothers, Clyde (Janie) Woodson, Melvin (Rene') Woodson both of Detroit, Dewight (Patricia) Woodson of Columbus, OH and Jerry (Jowanda) Woodson of Portsmouth, OH; aunt, Olivia Wesley of Flint; cousins, Mary and Minnie Pearl Drummer of Bronx, NY; 4 sisters-in-law, Delores Wesley of Ypsilanti, Jean Wesley of Cleveland, Sharon Wesley and Romance Ross both of Indianapolis; 3 brothers-in-law, Bob (Alice) Wesley, Billy Ray (Betty) Wesley and William P. Wesley all of Flint; a host of nieces and nephews other relatives and friends including best friends, Kitty (Bess) Gaither, Irene Luckado, Cornelius Griffin and Patricia Foster. Mrs. Wesley was preceded in death by her father, Solomon Woodson, Sr.; brothers, Solomon Woodson, Jr., and Darryl Tyrone Woodson; mother and father-in-law, Selma (Ruth) Wesley; sister-in-law, Beulah Davis; brother-in-law Arthur Wesley.
