McBRIDE, Mrs. Mae "Bell" - Age 56, passed away Sunday, December 30, 2007 at her residence. Family hour 10AM Saturday, January 5, 2008 at North Star Missionary Baptist Church, 1657 Broadway Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11AM. Pastor James O. Flowers, officiating. Interment Flint Memorial Park Cemetery, G-9506 N. Dort Hwy. Friends andpallbearers will assemble at the church 10AM Saturday. Mrs. McBride will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12Noon-8PM Friday. Mrs. Mae "Bell" McBride was born July 3, 1951 in Tunica, Mississippi, the daughter of James and Mae Emma Williams. "Bell" had been a resident of Flint since the age 5 and attended Flint Public Schools. She was a member of North Star Missionary Baptist Church. "Bell" worked for Brenda's Best Cleaners for a short time. She enjoyed fishing, cooking, spending time with family, friends and helping others. Mrs. Mae "Bell" McBride leaves to cherish her memory: husband of 32 years, Albert McBride; daughter, Audrey Key; 4 sons, Antonio Key, Donta, DeShon, and Alvodus McBride; 3 grandchildren, Cordell and Cordeon Jones, Christy Smith; 5 sisters, Jeanette Williams, Cynthia (Mike) Balentine, all of Flint, Martha (Rick) Maxwell, Linda Mitchell and Diana Hall; 2 brothers, Bobby (Lisa) Williams and James Williams, all of Memphis, TN; sister-in-law, Nathania (Elbert) McGahughy; brother-in-law, David Jackson of Philadelphia, PA and Richard (Lucy) Hicks of Lynchburg, VA; aunts, Zelma Williams of St. Louis, MO and Lena (James) Marable; uncles, Frank (Sarah) Bates, all of Flint, Johnny L. Bates of Memphis, TN, Richard (Etta) Bates of Southfield, MI, Sammie L. Bates of Omaha, NE; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including special friends, cousin, Jackie Williams, Dorothy (Robert) Atkins, Linda White, and Bonnie Bates. Mrs. McBride was preceded in death by her parents, James and Mae Emma Williams; brother, Eugene Bates; sister, Bobby A. Williams; grandparents; aunts; and uncles. The family would like to express special thanks to Pastor James O.
