Mr. Mack Earl "Punkin" Redwine

REDWINE, Mr. Mack Earl "Punkin" - Age 56, passed away Friday, January 25, 2013 at McLaren-Flint. Family hour 1:30 p.m. Saturday, February 2, 2013 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 2 p.m. Pastor Kenneth L. Stewart officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 1:30 p.m. Saturday. Mr. Redwine will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 1-8 p.m. Friday. Mr. Mack Earl Redwine "Punkin" was born August 7, 1956 in Birmingham, Alabama, the son of Mack B. and Thelma (Goodwin) Redwine. Mack attended Birmingham Public Schools. He became a resident of Flint at a young age. Mack loved the Lord and accepted Christ at an early age. He regularly attended New Jerusalem Full Gospel Baptist Church and other churches through the city. Mack was employed by Recticel N.A., Inc. in Pontiac, MI until his health no longer permitted him to do so. He loved cooking, gardening, fishing and spending time his family and friends. “Punkin” had a special love for his only son, Malkahi. He leaves to cherish his memory: son, Malkahi MacTwain Redwine; grandchildren, Terrance Antonio Boyd of Flint and Antjuan Jamonte Young of Detroit, MI; mother, Mrs. Thelma Goodwin-Redwine of Birmingham, AL; 2 sisters, VerDina (James) Davis and Mary Carrell (Herman C.) Gilbert, all of Detroit, MI; 2 brothers, James (Monica) Redwine and Darryl Redwine, all of Birmingham, AL; 9 nieces; 13 nephews including special nephew and caregiver, Lamone Davis; 5 aunts, Virginia and Elizabeth Redwine, both of Flint, Edna Moore, Bertha Mae Warren and Vergre Thomas, all of Birmingham, AL; 4 uncles, L.V. Redwine, Willie Lee Redwine, James Belk, all of Flint and Paul (Joyce) Purifoy of Birmingham, AL; a host of cousins including special cousins-like sisters, Mary Ann Demps and Monica Redwine, other relatives and friends including special friends, Dennis Wallace, Grover Whiteside and Denard. Mr. Redwine was preceded in death by daughter, Tamisha Boyd; father, Mack B. Redwine; his lifelong partner, Andrea Marie Hunt; maternal and paternal grandparents; brother, Cephus “Lil Man” Redwine; sister, Iantha Williams; a host of aunts, uncles and special cousins. The family would like to express special thanks to Dennis Wallace and Jean Battle at McLaren Cancer Center, RRC Dialysis, the many doctors and nurses that helped with Mack’s care. Special thanks to aunt, Virginia Redwine and cousin, William Redwine.
