HENDERSON, Mr. Mack “Arthur” transitioned to his heavenly home on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10 a.m. Thursday, February 13, 2014 at New Jerusalem Full Gospel Baptist Church, 1035 E. Carpenter Rd. with the celebration of life service at 11 a.m. Eld. Patrick Sanders Sr., Host Pastor, Eld. Frederick Henderson officiating of Greater St. Stephen Full Gospel Baptist Church of New Orleans, LA. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10 a.m. Thursday. Mr. Henderson will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12 noon-8 p.m. Wednesday, with family present 5 p.m.-8 p.m. Mr. Mack Henderson was born February 13, 1953 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Ethel Lee Henderson. Mack was part of the last graduating class of the “Old” Flint Northern High School, “Class of 1971.” He was one of the founding members of the “Oak Park Boys OPB” Family. Mack retired from Buick, a division of General Motors with 35 years of service and was a member of UAW Local 599. Mack loved fishing, hunting and was an avid sports fan. He also had a great love for dogs. Mr. Mack Arthur Henderson leaves in God’s care: loving and devoted wife, Audrey Henderson; 4 daughters, Denise (Curtis III) Steele of Grand Blanc, MI, Katrina (Tony) White of Memphis, TN, Kiah Witcher of Phoenix, AZ and Shala Walton of Flint; 4 sons, Ahmal Henderson of Los Angeles, CA, Pele Henderson of Las Vegas, NV, Eronje (Patience) Walton of Phoenix, AZ, and DeNon McNair of Los Angeles, CA; 15 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Geneva (Reggie) Green of Los Angeles, CA; and Helen Gladney of Flint; 4 brothers, Willie (Rita) Jones, Jessie (Marcheta) Todd, both of Flint and Frederick (Kimberly) Henderson of New Orleans, LA; 2 aunts, Renee (Willie) Cobbin and James Ola Hills; uncle, Ralph (Billie) Pea, all of Flint; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including special friends, Nolan Santee, Dorsey Cummings and numerous other friends. Mr. Henderson was preceded in death by his mother, Ethel Lee Henderson; grandmother, Rosie Woods; brother, Roy Lee Henderson; and aunt, Johnnie Mae Foster. The family would like to express special thanks to Dr. J. Katneni, Dr. Ganata, Dr. J. Evans, Dr. M. Beer, Hurley 7 East Nursing staff, Pastor Patrick Sanders, Sr. and the New Jerusalem Full Gospel Baptist Church family, and Rev. Dr. Mickarl D. Thomas and the Vernon Chapel AME Church family.
