Mrs. Lueanar T. Stewart

STEWART, Mrs. Lueanar T.- Age 84, passed away Thursday, January 19, 2017 at McLaren-Flint. Family hour 1:30 PM Saturday, February 4, 2017 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral services commencing at 2:00 PM Min. Danny Raye Gibbs officiating. Interment Flint Memorial Park Cemetery, G-9506 N. Dort Hwy., Mt. Morris, MI. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 1:30 PM Saturday. Mrs. Stewart will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM Friday. Mrs. Lueanar Stewart was born May 10, 1932 in Ozan, Arkansas, the daughter of Arthur and Rena Thomas. Mrs. Stewart was raised by adoptive parents Harvey and Dora Merriweather, and once she married Oliver Stewart Jr. in 1953, she moved to Flint, MI where she resided the rest of her Beautiful life. In 1959 Lueanar and Oliver relocated to Holtslander subdivision, which we all know as “Dirtville” in the Beecher District. Lueanar had many titles; wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, homemaker, lunch lady, cake lady, sharp dressed lady, good food lady and hat lady. The list go’s on and on, but most important she was a friend to all, and an everlasting memory to everyone that she touched. Mrs. Lueanar Stewart leaves to cherish her memory; daughter, Beverly Ann Stewart; 4 sons, Donald Kevin (Carolyn) Stewart, James Eric Stewart, both of Flint, Michael Anthony Stewart of Southfield, and Bruce Edward (Debra) Stewart of Mt. Morris, MI; step-daughter, Olivia Jones of North Little Rock, AR, 3 granddaughters, 5 great-grandchildren, 2 nieces, Sheila Thomas and Karen Thomas of Flint, nephew, Kerry Lynn Thomas of Flint; a host of other relatives and friends, including David West, The Mays, Denson, Lusane, Sims, Lewis, Sanders, Robinson, Mosely, Harris Parks, O’ Dell, Coleman, Odom, Rankins, Howard, Harris, Grant, Wiley, Williams, Currie, Stacks, Howell families, and the entire “Dirtville” community, Whew…! The list could go on and on also thanks to George, Willie and Sydney. Mrs. Stewart is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years; Oliver Stewart; and parents, Harvey and Dora Merriweather; in-laws, Oliver Sr. and Myrtle Stewart. The Family of Mrs. Luaenar Stewart would like to express special thanks to McLaren-Flint, Dr. Ayub, Miriam and Stephen O’ Conner and Tiana Adams.
