Mrs. Ludora Wyatt

WYATT, Mrs. Ludora - Age 90, passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 11:30 AM Saturday, March 13, 2021 at Saints of God Church, 2200 Forest Hill Ave., with funeral service commencing at 12:00 PM. Pastor Alfred Harris, Sr., officiating. Interment Gracelawn Community Cemetery, 5710 N. Saginaw St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 11:30 AM Saturday. Mrs. Wyatt will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Friday. Mrs. Ludora Wyatt of Flint, Michigan took her final breath on this side on March 2, 2021 at 8:25PM at Hurley Medical Center. Ludora was born Ludora Harris on April 13, 1930, the youngest of 8 children to her late parents, Benjamin and Beatrice Hutchettson Harris in Binjes town, Memphis, Tennessee. She recognized her artistic and musical gift and began teaching piano lessons during her high school and early college days at the age of 23. Ludora traveled from Memphis to Flint, Michigan where she worked briefly as a Legal Secretary. During a chance encounter, she met the man that she would spend the rest of her days with Ples Wyatt. They were married on November 16, 1955 making Flint their home. With her home loving spirit and musical gifts she joined Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in 1955 serving as one of the Sunday School Musicians and Sunday School Teachers for over 25 years. Ludora was also a member of the voice of Macedonia Choir until her health declined. She loved them and often reminisced about opportunities being together and having a good time in the Lord until she was called to rest from the cares of this life Mrs. Ludora Wyatt leaves to carry on her love: 2 daughters, Doris J. Wyatt of Flint and Myrna E. Wright of Scottsdale, AZ; 2 sons, Ples Irwin (Ladonna) Wyatt Jr. of Flint and Gary (Lisa) Wyatt of Oberlin, OH; grandchildren, Tremaine Elise Wyatt of Fayetteville, GA, Sharena Miraj (Christopher) Wilson of Davison, MI, Garrison Donte Tyler Wyatt, Jerrison Jante Patrick (Carissa) Wyatt all of Oberlin, OH, Ples Irwin Wyatt III of Mishawaka, IN, Rodney Dwayne Jones II of Harlem, NY, Dymond Niclole Jones of Scottsdale, AZ, Lauren Wyatt of Oberlin, OH, Jimmie I. Wyatt of Florida, Terry Wyatt, Sylvia, Heather, Michelle, Curtis, Sony, Earl and Prather Newell, all of Flint, MI; a host of niece, nephews, other relatives and close friends from the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church Congregation, Choir and Sunday School Teachers. Mrs. Wyatt was preceded in death by her husband, Ples Wyatt Sr.; grandsons, Dana and Marlon Wyatt; parents, Benjamin and Beatrice Hutchettson Harris; sisters, Elizabeth, Annie Mae, Rosie Lee Harris-Taylor and Queen Harris; brothers, Leander and Thomas Harris; mother & father-in-law, TN and Rainey Nelson. The family would like to express special thanks to Pastor Alfred L. Sr. and Denise Harris and the wonderful staff at Hurley Medical Center 5E & Comfort Care of 9E and the prayer from so many friends.
