BARTON, Mrs. Ludille B. - Age 76, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2024 at her residence. Family hour 10:30 AM Tuesday, July 2, 2024 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM. Interment River Rest Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:30 AM Tuesday. Mrs. Barton will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Monday. Ludille “Beedee” “Ms. Lou” Barton was born August 5, 1947 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of L.B. and Ludille Miller. Ludille was a resident of Flint for 76 years. She accepted Christ at an early age. Ludille married L.S. Barton Jr. and to this union 2 children were born. She worked at St. Joseph Hospital, Ascension Genesys Hospital and Hurley Medical Center, retiring from Genesys with over 20 years of service. Ludille enjoyed going to church where she served on the Usher Board while she was able. She also enjoyed shopping, getting her hair & nails done, going to the casino and spending time with family and friends, especially her great-grands. Ludille had a sense of humor that kept people laughing and she always had a come back for you. One of her favorite sayings was, “you gotta do right to get right” and “God will always take care of you.” Ludille Barton leaves to cherish her memory: husband, L.S. Barton Jr. ;daughter, LaTasha A. Barton; step-daughter, Samonia Hickmon; special son, Aaron Hickmon; 5 grandchildren, Jzanayia Anderson of Flint, Janisha Sweet of Grand Blanc, MI, Anthony Hickmon of Flint, John Crain of Tennessee and Jaylen Crain of Flint; great-grandchildren, Aaron and Aareyia Foster, Ahsad Boxley, Jamylen Campbell, Janiya Gillard, Anthony, Nariyah and Braylon Hickmon, and Shamari Crain; 3 brothers, James, Alvin and Willie (Debbie) Miller; 8 nieces; 7 nephews; a host of great-nieces and great-nephews; aunt, Novella Miller; uncle, Collin Miller; a host of cousins; son-in-law, Jeff Anderson; sisters-in-law, Caroline Miller of Clio, MI, Evelyn and Shirley Barton, both of Flint, and Gloria Webber of Grand Blanc, MI; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Joann Dockery, Linda Talley, Clara Jamison, Ms. Bea Matthews, Kim Sykes, the Baldwin Street family, Kendra Bell and Annette Miller-EL. Ludille was preceded in death by her son, Zachary Barton; grandson, MarQuan Hinkle; parents, L.B. and Ludille Miller; sister, Esther Woods; 2 brothers, Clifford and Melvin Miller; 2 nephews, Alvis Miller and Billy Dudley.
