HOLLINS, Missionary Lucretia Ann - Age 56, answered her call Friday, August 5, 2011 at Church of God. Family hour 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 13, 2011 at Jackson Memorial C.O.G.I.C., 3155 W. Carpenter Rd., with funeral service commencing at 11 a.m. Pastor Lawrence Washington officiating, Bishop Herbert J. Williams, Host Pastor. Interment Flint Memorial Park Cemetery, G-9506 N. Dort Hwy. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Missionary Hollins will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12Noon-8 p.m. with family present from 5-8 p.m. Missionary Lucretia Ann Hollins was born May 5, 1955 in Haines City, Florida, the daughter of Elder Lester and Mother Inez Lee Payton. She was a virtuous woman, devoted wife, loved mother, sister, friend and an encourager to everyone she met. Ann had a contagious smile which brightened many lives. She went home to be with the Lord while teaching from Psalms 139:23-24, “The Great Searcher.” Ann was a member of the Church of God on Kent Street, where she was a faithful member on the Executive Board, Usher Board and served in many other capacities at her local church. She leaves to cherish her sweet memories: supporting, loving and caring husband of 33 years, Lewis Hollins; son, Lewis Hollins, Jr. of Sandusky, OH; 2 daughters, Rhudonna Hollins of Flint and Tina (Erik) Wyatt of Grand Blanc, MI; grandchildren, Tasheanna, Deveon and Marquiesha Raspberry all of Flint, Zaniya and Endeya Wyatt of Grand Blanc, MI; great-grandchildren, Kniyah and Kenneth Moore of Flint; father, Pastor Lester Payton of Flint; 5 sisters, Betty Payton of Orlando, FL, Laura (Marzuq) Rahmaad of Davison, MI, Montrose (Arnett) Mitchell of Stone Mountain, GA, Lena Wise of Lansing, MI, and Cindy (Andrew) Kidd of Cincinnati, OH; 6 brothers, Lester Payton, Jr. of Sacramento, CA, Leonard Payton of Charleston, WV, Neal (Janice) Payton of Las Vegas, NV, Walter Payton of Stone Mountain, GA, Luther (Tammala) Payton of Lawrenceville, GA and Elijah Payton of Flint; stepsister, Trina Peoples; 4 stepbrothers, Don (Willie M.) Bevins, Brian Walker, Eddie Walker and Patrick Payton; numerous nieces and nephews; aunts, Ethel Mason, Josephine Burns and Adeline (Eddie) Tinsley, all of Oviedo, FL and Jannie Jackson of Sodus, NY; great-aunt, Nancy Knight; 2 uncles, Chester (Eloise) Payton of Flint and John Baldwin of Oviedo, FL; many cousins; 2 sister-in-laws, Elizabeth (Willie) Bethune and Mary Clark both of Flint; 3 brother-in-laws, Glimes (Sherry) Hollins, Mark (Pauline) Hollins both of Newark, OH and Robert (Marsha) Hollins of Cambridge, OH; special friends, Bernie Harris, First Lady Donna Washington, Vicky Donald-Garrett, and Sandra Thompson. Missionary Hollins was preceded in death by her mother, Inez Lee Payton. The family would like to express special thanks to Pastor Lawrence Washington and The Church of God Family, El- Shaddai Ministries COGIC Church Family and everyone for the many prayers, thoughts of kindness, visits, cards and comforting expressions of love shown during our time of bereavement.
