ODEN, Mr. Lucius Lee, Jr. "Jab" - Age 64, passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at Saginaw Covenant. Family hour 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 18, 2012 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11 a.m. Pastor Gilbert Anderson, officiating. Interment Great Lakes National Cemetery, G-4200 Belford Rd. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home 10 a.m. Wednesday. Mr. Oden will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 12 Noon-8 p.m. Tuesday. Mr. Lucius Lee Oden, Jr. was born December 20, 1947 in Birmingham, Alabama the son of Lucius Oden and Earlie Mae (Henry) Oden. Lucius confessed Christ at an early age. He was a member of St. James Church of God in Christ. Lucius was a graduate of Flint Northern High School. He was a United States Army Vietnam Veteran. He was employed at General Motors Fisher Body I. Lucius hobbies were baseball, football and playing cards. He also was a great cook and loved to socialize with family and friends. Mr. Lucius L., Jr. “Jab” leaves to cherish his memory: 2 daughters, Ileane Shawn Davis of Flint and Denisha Stinson of Texas; 2 sons, Ronald Bingham and Andre Woods; friend and mother of his daughter, Denisha, Claudia Perkins-Milton, all of Flint; 3 sisters, Linda Gail Nadir of Flint, Lavena (Everett) Oden-Pendleton of Atlanta, GA and Lavonne Oden of Flint; 5 brothers, Larry James (Marcella) Oden of Flint, Bobby Ray (Ethel) Oden of Atlanta, GA, Pastor Carlis Earl (Lucretia) Oden of Nashville, TN, Keith (La Ingria) Crayton and Darryl (Darlene) Crayton, all of Flint; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Isom Nadir, Leroy Wells, Lamont White, Kermit Reeves, all of Flint and David Mitchell of Stone Moutain, GA. Mr. Oden was preceded in death by his parents, Lucius and Earlie Mae Oden, Sr.; grandparents, Ola “Big Mama” Henry, Earl Henry, Carlis Oden and Lillie Bell Oden; and sister, Carol Oden-Templeton.
