Louise Kendall

KENDALL, Mrs. Louise Lee - Age 81, passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10:30AM Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at Christ Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, 317 E. Hamilton Ave., with funeral service commencing at 11AM, Dr. Leroy Shelton, officiating. Interment Flint Memorial Park Cemetery, G-9506 N. Dort Hwy. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:30AM Tuesday. Mrs. Kendall will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12Noon-8PM Monday. Mrs. Louise Lee Kendall was born February 13, 1927 in Upson County, Georgia, the daughter of Grady and Lillie Mae Pennyman. Louise accepted Christ at an early age in Upson County, Georgia. Upon moving to Flint she joined Canaan Baptist Church and then became a member of Christ Fellowship Baptist Church, where she served on the Nurses Guild until she became ill. She was an avid bowler. Louise enjoyed fishing and traveling. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed feeding family, friends and others who visited her home. Louise met no strangers. She leaves to cherish her memory: spouse of 63 years, Jake Kendall; daughter, Dorothy Kendall-Dickerson of Murfreesboro, TN; son, Jake (Bernice) Kendall of Davison; grandchildren, Carla Zorn of Indianapolis, IN, Cloyce Dickerson of Sacramento, CA, Kendra Dickerson-Wilson of Murfreesboro, TN, Annette (Lyndon) Abrams of Charlotte, NC, Anzio (Kimberly) Dickerson of Tolleson, AZ, Marcus (Pamela) Montgomery, Arteka (Clarence) Sevillian, Jake (Jamie) Kendall, Taurice and Kalon Dickerson, all of Flint; 19 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Bessie Miller and Lucille (Jessie) Briggs; brother, Clifford Pennyman, all of Flint; aunt, Dorothy Rutherford of Georgia; 2 cousins, Rosemary Napier of Detroit and Sherman Napier of Flint; 2 sons-in-law, William Coleman of Indianapolis, IN and special son-in-law, Cloyce Dickerson of Flint; sisters-in-law, Nina Pennyman of Pontiac and Nellie Kendall of Jacksonville, FL; brother-in-law, Eugene Banks of Flint; many special nieces and nephews including special nieces, Vergenia and Brenda Pennyman of Detroit, Yvonne Pennyman of Fredericksburg, VA and Mary Armstrong of East Pointe, GA; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Elizabeth Kindred, Francis Duncan, Mary Brady, Mrs. Doris Coleman, Ms. Marge, Pauline Bradford and all of her bowling friends. Mrs. Kendall was preceded in death by her parents; 4 sisters; 3 brothers; and stepdaughter. The family would like to express a very special thanks to Hurley 9th and 7th floor doctors, nurses, and staff.
