Mrs. Lisa Karen (McCloud) Kelley

(MCCLOUD) KELLEY, Mrs. Lisa Karen - age 53, passed away Sunday, September 14, 2014 at her residence. Family hour 10 a.m. Thursday, September 18, 2014 at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, 424 Kennelworth Ave. with funeral service commencing at 11 a.m. Rev. Dr. Major A. Stewart officiating. Interment Great Lakes National Cemetery, G-4200 Belford Rd., Holly, MI. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10 a.m.Thursday. Mrs. (McCloud) Kelley may be viewed during the family hour only. Lisa Karen (McCloud) Kelley was born November 29, 1960 in Flint Michigan, the beloved daughter of Douglas W. McCloud and Annie P. (Maxwell) McCloud. She transitioned on Sunday September 14, 2014. Lisa was born and raised in Flint Michigan. She was baptized into the family of Christ at age 15. She was a member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church. Lisa graduated from Powers Catholic High School, “Class of 1978.” During her Middle and High School years she attended Interlochen Band Camp, participated in the Civitan Club, and was a participant in the Flint Cotillion of 1978. She was an accomplished Flutist, earning First Chair Flute with the American Musical Ambassadors, traveling to nine countries in Europe during the summer of 1978. She attended Michigan State University for almost 3 years. She married Clyde Kelley in 1985. Her life centered around her husband, daughter Amanda and son Clyde Hewston III. She was creative and artistic and particularly enjoyed making jewelry. She loved to shower her loved ones with gifts that she created. Even though she was an only child Lisa possessed a spirit of generosity. She was treasured for her sense of humor. Lisa Karen (McCloud) Kelley leaves: her cherished spouse, Clyde. H. Kelly, Jr.; daughter Amanda Kelley; son, Clyde Hewston Kelley, III, all of Flint; Care Cat, Daisy; father, Douglas W. McCloud of Mt. Airy, NC; mother, Annie P. (Maxwell) McCloud of Burton, MI; step-sister, Vicky Jenkins of Mt. Airy, NC; step-brother, Michael Gibson; she leaves aunts, Jimmye L. Maxwell of Flint, Delores (Willie) Hale of Flint, Jessie Brimm of Mt. Airy, NC, Naomi Sewell of Washington, DC and Ruth Elizabeth Mabe of Aurora, CO; uncles, Donald (Angell) McCloud of Mt. Airy, NC, and Captain Verable (Aniece) McCloud of Tucson, AZ; cousins in Michigan, California, Arkansas, Washington, DC and Hawaii; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Pamela Dixon Thomas of Ann Arbor, MI Tracie Bryant, Sandra Williams and Kenneth Muldrew, all of Flint and Rev. Kenneth Gillard of Grand Rapids. Lisa was preceded in death by grandparents, Willie (Estella) McCloud, James (Bessie) Maxwell; her father and mother-in-law Clyde Hewston (Evelyn) Kelley, and several uncles and aunts. The family would like to express special thanks to Rev. Dr. Major A. Stewart, Rev. Kenneth Gillard, Tracie Bryant, the Mt.
