Mr. Linzy Mitchell

MITCHELL, Mr. Linzy -Age 48, passed away Monday, September 1, 2025, at McLaren-Flint. Family hour 10:30 AM Thursday, September 11, 2025, from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home 10:30 AM Thursday. Mr. Mitchell will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Wednesday. Mr. Linzy Mitchell was born February 23, 1977 in Flint, Michigan, son of Bethany Henry and Linzy Williams. Linzy Mitchell was a resident of the city of Flint. He graduated from Northwestern and went on to attend Mott Community College for Early Childhood Development. He then pursed a career with Michigan Community Services (MCSI). He had compassion and dedication for his work. Linzy had a great impact and inspired many just by being himself. Apart from his professional work, he enjoyed a various number of activities. He loved working out and staying active. He was very passionate about sports, especially football. He was a die-hard Michigan and 49’s fan. He was a proud WWE fan for over 30 years. Linzy also was known as The Man of Steel (TMOS) as he enjoyed the Super hero universe such as Marvel and DC. Linzy had a great passion for bowling and loved the movies. He found great joy with spending time with family and friends. He had an incredible sense of humor and could cheer anybody up. He was a very loving and caring person. Mr. Linzy Mitchell leaves to cherish his memory: life partner, Kendra Luster; 2 children, Kilonda L. M. Mitchell and Kiara M. Mitchell; sister, Tikisha James, all of Flint; brother, Daniel Walton Carter of Atlanta, GA; 2 nieces, Shericka Lewis, and Atlantis McNeal, both of Flint; 2 nephews, Derrick Mitchell of Detroit, Michigan and Jacob Alexander of Flint; aunt, Eunice Faye Bradley of Lincoln, NE; uncle, James Mitchell of Clarksville, TN; 2 brothers-in-law, Emmitt James of Flint and Selwyn Carter of Atlanta, GA; a host of other relatives including, Lil Rock, Qunaco, Ann, Charles, Courtenay, Chevez, Fred, Tracy, LaQwavion Sr., Zamiya, NaQwnvia, LaQwavion Jr., Lawanda, Jeremiah, Demetria, Christian, Damarius, Lisa (god mother); special friends, Kenneth, John, Tony, Denard, and Dequindre. Mr. Mitchell was preceded in death by his parents, Bethany Denise Henry and Linzy Williams; step-father, Bobby Henry; grandparents, Bessie B.
