RICHARD, Ms. Linda - Age 49, passed away Friday, March 11, 2011 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10 a.m. Thursday, March 24, 2011 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing immediately at 11 a.m. Rev. Daniel Bridges officiating. Interment Flint Memorial Park Cemetery, G-9506 N. Dort Hwy. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10 a.m. Thursday. Ms. Richard will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 12 noon - 8 p.m. Wednesday. Ms. Linda Marsha Richard was born on October 18, 1961 in Dubach, Louisiana, the daughter of John and Peggy Richard. Linda was raised in Flint. She graduated from Beecher High School “Class of 1981.” Linda was employed with New Passages as a Rehabilitation Assistant, Genesee County Community Action Resource Department, Head Start Program as a Teacher’s Aide, and Arlene’s Lounge as a Bartender for many years. Linda enjoyed scrap-booking and hanging out with her family and friends. She was a fun loving person that always had a smile on her face, touching the lives of everyone that she came in contact with. Ms. Linda M. Richard leaves to cherish her memory: 3 daughters, Qwinasha and Quanieka, both of Flint and Quaonna of Muskegon, MI; 3 sons, Mario and Damarious, both of Flint and Javontae Richard of Pine Bluff, AR; 2 grandchildren, Damario and Mister Richard; mother, Peggy Richard of Flint; 2 sisters, Betsy Peoples and Peggy Richard, all of Flint; 2 brothers, James Richard of Flint and Lonnie Alexander of Texas; 3 aunts, Reba Walker and Henry Hill, both of Flint, and Mary Thomas of Little Rock, AR; favorite sister-in-law, Regina Richard; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including special friends, Linda Rankins, Melody Smith and all of her co-workers. Ms. Richard was preceded in death by her father, John Richard; brother, Darren Richard; grandparents, Sam and Betsy Richard and Annie Ivory; 4 uncles; 1 aunt; and cousin, Carl Miller. The family would like to express special thanks to Pastor Daniel and Naomi Bridges and all of her family and friends.
