Linda Kilgore

KILGORE, Ms. Linda - Age 59, passed away Monday, August 15, 2011 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10 a.m. Monday, August 22, 2011 at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, 1083 E. Stewart Ave., with funeral service commencing at 11 a.m. Pastor Lewis Randolph officiating. Interment Flint Memorial Park Cemetery, G-9506 N. Dort Hwy., Mt. Morris, MI. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10 a.m. Monday. Ms. Kilgore will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday with family present from 3-6 p.m. Ms. Linda Kaye Kilgore was born February 28, 1952 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cloyd and Clara Kilgore. Linda was a loving and devoted mother to her only son, Anthony. She was surrogate mother to numerous children including, Tiara, Alexis and Ian Tucker, Mel, Victor and DeRodrick Kilgore. Ms. Linda Kaye Kilgore leaves to cherish her sweet and loving memories: son, Anthony C. Kilgore II (Ericka Spiller); sister, Leora (Nate) Campbell, all of Flint; two brothers, Cloyd Kilgore, Jr. of Seattle, WA and Lloyd Gene Kilgore and (Carol Boaz) of Flint; two nephews, Nathaniel (Renee) Campbell, Jr. of Flint and Lloyd (Heather) Kilgore, Jr. of Hermosa, CA; special nephew, Carl Langley of Flint; four nieces, Precious Kilgore-Brown of Indianapolis, IN, Nyquila Langley and NaTasha Kilgore (Wayne Seymour), all of Shreveport, LA and Angela Campbell of Flint; four aunts, Loucretia Dunn of Flint, Cora and Josephine Dunn and Beulah Kilgore, all of Seattle, WA; a host of great nieces and nephews; special cousins, Dennetta Waters, George (Mary) Johnson and Callie Marshall; numerous cousins from the Brazle, Dunn, Hicks, Massey, O’Guinn and Wilson families in Arkansas, Flint, MI and Washington; god-sisters, Valencia Battle and Mary (Dorcenia) Brazle, Jr.; lifetime friends, Caren Knight, Shirley Odom, Mae Carolyn Cochran and family and Kevin Hatchett; a host of other relatives and friends including, the Granberry, Powell, Reese, Roberts, Rorie, Smith, Spearman, Spiller, Williams and Campbell families. Ms. Kilgore was preceded in death by her parents, Cloyd and Clara Kilgore; grandparents, George and Mae Etta Dunn and Lonnie and Leora Kilgore; five aunts and seven uncles. The family would like to express special thanks to Pastor Lewis Randolph and the entire Antioch Missionary Baptist Church family; extra special thanks to Hurley Medical Center ICU 4E nurses and doctors, especially primary nurses, Rebecca, Maureen, Eli, LuAnn and Russ and a special thanks to her constant caregiver, nephew and friend, Carl Langley.
