Ms. Linda Carol Jordan

JORDAN, Ms. Linda Carol - Age 66, passed away Thursday, February 20, 2025, at her residence. Family hour 10:00 AM Thursday, March 6, 2025, from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM. Pastor Jimmie Whitaker, officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the chapel 10:00 AM Thursday. Ms. Jordan will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home. Public visitation will be during family hour only. Ms. Linda Carol Jordan was born October 7, 1958, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Thomas and Alma Jordan. Linda was a resident of Flint and attended Flint Community Schools. She graduated from Flint Northwestern High School, “Class of 1976.” Linda was a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church and served on the Junior Usher Board, Young Adult Choir and was currently a member of the Floral Club. In her earlier years was a musician for King Solomon Missionary Baptist Church. Linda loved to fish and was an avid seamstress. She also loved her Gospel Music, and her favorite Gospel Song was Chris Blue’s “Can’t Even Walk Without You Holding My Hand.” Ms. Linda Carol Jordan leaves to cherish her memory: 2 sisters, Deaconess Gloria Jordan Thompson of Flint and Bettye Gibson of Tallahassee, FL; brother, Pastor Larry (Pastor Sylvia) Jordan of Southfield, MI; 3 nieces, de’Louisa (Sherman) Richardson, T’Mara Thompson of Murfreesboro, TN and Loren (Cornelius) Hicks of Southfield, MI, and Latrice (Derrick) Johnson; a host of cousins, nieces, grandnieces, grandnephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; a host of other relative and friends including special friends, Lynda Hoskins, Rita Jamerson-Jones and Lynda Baker. Ms. Jordan was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Alma Jordan; grandparents, Nevada and James Brown; brother, Theotis King; niece, Sylyria Sanders Gordon; and nephew, Jared Jordan. The family would like to express special thanks to Minster Joe Gaines, Elder Ronald Roland, Minster Joanne Brown, Pastor Jimmie Whitaker and Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church family, Bethesda Temple, Family Victory Fellowship, Mrs. Marva McDaniels and special thanks also goes to neighbors, Mr. & Mrs. Rolande and Andrea Stanley.
