JONES, Ms. Linda Marie "Ginny" - Age 69, passed away Sunday, June 23, 2024 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 9:30 AM Friday, June 28, 2024 at Shiloh Baptist Church, 2120 N. Saginaw St. with funeral service commencing at 10:00 AM. Pastor Daniel Moore, Sr., officiating. Interment River Rest Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 9:30 AM Friday. Ms. Jones will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Thursday. Ms. Linda Marie Jones “Ginny” was born May 14, 1955 in Flint, Michigan, the youngest daughter of John an Sarah (Love) Jones. Linda graduated from Flint Central High School, “Class of 1974.” She was employed as a Senior Caregiver for Rose Haven, Aid for Pierson Community Center for many years, Early Childhood Aid for the YMCA Daycare for over 10 years, Senior Assistant for The Landings of Genesee Valley, Bus Aid for the Swartz Creek Schools, Lunch Aid at Summerfield Elementary School and at JC Penny for a short time. Linda was a Faithful Servant of the Lord, with a loving Christian Spirit and a big heard. Her love for her Usher Board family and her Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church family meant everything to her. She loved cooking, helping anyone she could in many ways, but most of all she loved all of God’s children and sharing family love and values. Her Poindexter in-laws were very dear to her, along with her many friends just to name a few, Sister Ella Polk, Judy Releford, Charles Roberts, Jackie Glover, Rhonda Gibson Carr and her loving Linden Lane neighbors.
