Ms. Linda Gayle Hudson

PALMORE-HUDSON, Ms. Linda Gayle - Age 56, passed away Friday, October 5, 2012 at Select Specialty-McLaren-Flint. Family hour: 11:30 a.m. Saturday, October 13, 2012 at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 502 Leith Street, with funeral service commencing at 12 noon. Pastor Daniel Moore officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the Church 11:30 a.m. Saturday. Ms. Hudson will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd. and may be viewed from 12 noon-8:00 p.m. Friday. Ms. Linda Gayle (Palmore) Hudson was born October 31, 1955 in Flint, Michigan. She was the only child and the daughter of John Lee Palmore, Jr. and Odell Willie Palmore. Linda was educated in the Flint Community School System, graduating from Flint Central High School, “Class of 1973.” She also attended Mott Community College. Linda worked at Flint Truck and Bus, a division of General Motors retiring after 15 years of service. Linda was a very faithful member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church of Flint, joining under the leadership of Rev. Allen, where she served for many years in the choir and on the usher board. She loved spending time and having fun with her family and friends. Linda touched the lives of many children over the years; she opened her home and heart to any child that was in need as a foster parent and a caring person. Linda was also the Operator/Owner of LaShawn’s Daycare that she operated out of her home. She was the President of the Milbourne Ave Block Club, member of UAW Local 598, past member of the Eastern Star # 241 and an Avon Consultant. Ms. Linda Gayle (Palmore) Hudson leaves to cherish her memory: 7 children, Sateesha Odell (Shelly) Poplar, Jimmie Lee “Buddy” Hudson III, John Lee Brown-Hudson, LaShawn Brown-Hudson, Thomas Lee Brown, Jr., Dontae Brown and Latonya Brown all of Flint; 7 grandchildren, Sedrick, Satchel and Seth “Tuff-Tuff” Poplar, Tashari Brown, Dontae and Alontae Parham, all of Flint and Johniesha Brown of Dallas, TX; Linda also leaves to cherish her 2 goddaughters, Tynae Tipton of Georgia, and Morgan Moore of Flint; favorite cousins, Kathy Moore, Pamela Lee, Sherry Little, Dorothy Kirksey and Amy Mangham; all of Flint and Rob Banks of Philadelphia, PA; best friends, Linda Conway, the Shiloh church family; and a host of other family and friends. Ms. Hudson was preceded in death by her father, John Palmore, Jr.; mother, Odell Willie Palmore; grandmothers, Irene Banks and Maggie Wells Palmore; aunt, Fannie (AC) Maynor; 4 uncles, Ronald Palmore, Marion (Grace) Lee, John (Edna) Lee and Hugh “HB” (Ruth) Palmore; cousins, Willa Dean Cooper, Joanne Palmore and Eugene Palmore. The family would like to express special thanks to Pastor Daniel Moore and the entire Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church family, the Milbourne Ave. neighborhood and friends, Dr. Alif and staff, U of M Cardiovascular Center, Select Specialty Center nursing staff of McLaren Healthcare-Flint and the Lawrence E.
