GIBSON-POE, Mrs. Linda - Age 58, passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at her residence. Family hour 1:30PM Wednesday, June 17, 2009 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing immediately at 2PM, Pastor Latrelle Holmes officiating. Interment Gracelawn Community Cemetery, G-5710 N. Saginaw Street. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 1:30PM Wednesday. Mrs. Gibson-Poe will lie in state the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 12Noon-8PM Tuesday. Mrs. Linda Jean Gibson-Poe was born May 7, 1951 in Adel, Georgia, the daughter of Wilma Jean Cook and Lee Haralson, Jr. Linda came to Flint as a young child and attended Flint Community Schools. She was affiliated with Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church. Mrs. Linda Jean Gibson-Poe leaves to cherish her memory: husband, Michael Poe; children, Fernado and Demetrius Cook, Anwar and Omar Gibson; stepson, Robert A. Johnson; grandchildren, Juanell Darrough, Quintae, Passion, Demetrius II, Jalen, Damisha, Damerious and Demetria Cook, Skye Harris, Santoya, Terrance, Quayshaun and Tereka Lewis, Salika Darrough and Marcus Pace; great-granchildren, Ezira Jackson, Nigiel and Saniya Lewis; sisters, Maria Williams, Diane McDonald and Debra Brooks; nieces, Angelic (Andre) Longmire, Octavia and Deidre Cook, Kimta Dodds, Donneshia Williams, Torri Brooks, Shameila Green, Mieasha Haralson, Marlynn Johnson and Jane Hicks; nephews, Javaughn and Jamal Perkins; aunt, Florrie Thomas; cousins, Frederick Cook, Jr., Debra Ricard and Kathy (Julius) Morris; mother and father-in-law, Rody Poe and Earnest Poe, Sr.; daughter-in-law, Kaleka Harris; sisters-in-law, Ophilla Tillis, Marthie Rakin, Orrie Dulluy and Florer Poe; brothers-in-law, Earnest Poe, Jr., David and Jerome Poe; a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including special friends, Bobbie Stewart-Franklin, Jackie Nappier, Cheryl Pace, Myra Phillips, Glori Hall, LaQuanda Brown, Betty, Janice, Don Thomas, Mrs. Ollie Youngblood, Janet Hicks and the Byrd Family.
