Ms. Linda Deloris Ferguson

FERGUSON, Ms. Linda Deloris - age 63, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 12 p.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, March 29, 2014 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd. There will be no memorial service. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home 12 p.m. Saturday. Ms. Ferguson will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Friday. Ms. Linda Deloris Ferguson was born on January 16, 1951 in Pikeville, Kentucky the daughter of Willie Ferguson and Gladys Lee McCann. Ms. Linda Deloris Ferguson worked in the Flint Community School District for over 20 years. Linda was very loved by her co-workers, the children she worked with and of course her family. Her hobbies included reading, word search puzzles, solitaire and playing with her great-grandchildren. Ms. Linda Ferguson retired from Flint Community Schools in June 2013. Linda will be dearly missed by all those she touched with her warm, loving and giving spirit. We will especially miss the way she made us all laugh and smile. Ms. Ferguson leaves to cherish her memory: daughter, Terina (Robert) Ferguson-Hunter; 3 grandchildren, LaTroya (DeMarcus) Johnson, Alexis and T’Shan Griffith all from Flint; 7 great-grandchildren, Kaniyah, Kelvin, T’Shawn, LaTroy, Amaun, Kamryn and Tiana all from Flint; step-father, John C. McCann; grandparents, Goldie and John Lee; 2 sisters, Sandra (Eric) Watson-Marsh and Beverly (Mitchell) Garret; 2 brothers, William (Betty) Ferguson of Lake City, FL and Mitchell (Phyllis) Ferguson of Chesaning, MI; 4 nieces, Sonia Key, Shironda Conner, and Talia Washington-Winfrey all of Flint, and Ieshia Ferguson of Los Angeles, CA; 2 nephews, Bobby, Allen and William Ferguson III and Eugene Carl Watson; 4 aunts, Phyllis, Gloria, Gaynelle and Dorothy; 2 uncles, John, Jr. and Paul Lee; 2 sisters-in-law, Betty and Phyllis Ferguson; brother-in-law, Mitchell Garrette; 5 god-daughters, Rochelle Wilson, Lilly Hunter, Tiffany Branch, Lynette Anthony and Robbyn Johnson; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends including special friends Beth Stephens, Vester Johnson, Shari Burt and Annette Wilson. Ms. Ferguson was preceded in death by: grandparents, Goldie and John Lee; parents, William Ferguson and Gladys Lee McCann; niece, She’quila “Qui” Shauntae Hardman; aunt, Phyllis Mitchell; uncle, Bishop John Lee, Jr.; sister, Beverly Jean Garrett.
