WHITE, Mother Lillie Bell - Age 88, passed away Friday, October 19, 2018 in Charleston, W. Virginia. Family hour 10:00 AM Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Judah Ministries, 5380 W. Pierson Rd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM. Interment Flint Memorial Park Cemetery, G-9506 N Dort Hwy., Mt. Morris, MI. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at church 10:00 AM Saturday. Mother White will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM Friday. Mother Lillie “L.B.” (Haney) White age 88, transitioned from this life, Friday, October 19, 2018 at Charleston Medical Center in Charleston, West Virginia. Mother White was born to the union of Mr. Edie and Mrs. Ollie Haney, April 11, 1930 in Lake Village, Arkansas. She was the fourth oldest of eight siblings. Mother White attended Central High School in Lake Village, Arkansas. Seeking a better life for she and her children, she migrated to Flint, Michigan in August of 1964, with a mind of determination, she went back to school and attained her high school diploma. Because of perpetual persistence to be independent, she also attained her Certified Nursing Assistance Certification. Mother White was employed at Heritage Manor and Chateau Gardens Nursing Homes. After 17 years of employment she retired from Chateau Gardens in 1993. Mother White accepted Christ at an early age at Bethel Chapel Baptist Church in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. After moving to Flint she became a faithful member of Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church for 25 years under the tutelage of Dr. Granville Smith. In January of 1992 she became of member of Judah Ministries under the tutelage of her son-in-law and daughter, Pastor Benny and Co-Pastor Lená Stribling. She remained faithful, dedicated and committed up until her death. Mother White served nobly as President of the Mother’s Board and Kitchen Committee. She also was committed to the Women of Destiny Ministry. Mother White enjoyed going to church, Bible Study, shopping and being in the presence of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was know as the “88 year old young, sassy and sharp dresser.” Mother Lillie “L.B.” White leaves to cherish her legacy and memories: children, Glorie Cross, Daniel (Lois) White, Shirley Miller, Earl (Joan) Washington, all of Flint, Glenda Davis of Waverly, TN, Co-Pastor Lená (Pastor Benny) Stribling, Rena Haney, Carl White, Carolyn Frisby, Cynthia (Min. Lance) Washington, all of Flint, Camille (Alonzo) Cheers III of Fort Worth, TX and Michael White of Dickson, TN; 35 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Roy Haney and Loyd (Josephine) Haney; sisters, Katy Brown, all of Flint and Dr. Melvia (Rev. Don) Russell of Florence, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, including special daughters, Mary Rubin, Lila M. Clark and special niece, Marsha Scullark and granddaughter, Susie Mays. Mother White was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Edie and Mrs. Ollie Haney; daughter, Min. Florence “Shinese” White; sister, Mrs. Frankie Jenkins; brothers, Mr. Woodrow Chattmon, Mr. Huide Braxton and Mr. Edie Haney Jr.; brother-in-law, Mr. Matthew Brown; grandson, Derrico White; and great-granddaughter, Trinity M. Gaines. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Charleston Medical Center of Charleston, West Virginia, Pastor Benny and Co-Pastor Lená Stribling, and Judah Ministries family.
