PAXTON, Mrs. Lillie P. - Age 62, passed away Thursday, September 30, 2010 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 1:30 p.m. Friday, October 8, 2010 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing immediately at 2 p.m., Pastor John Jenkins officiating. Interment Gracelawn Community Cemetery, G-5710 N. Saginaw St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 1:30 p.m. Friday. Mrs. Paxton will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 12Noon-8 p.m. Thursday. Mrs. Lillie Pearl Paxton was born November 7, 1948 in West Point, Mississippi, the daughter of Mattie Evans and Therston Haggard. Lillie came to Flint at the tender age of three and attended Flint Public Schools. She enjoyed watching television, doing puzzles, and listening to her oldies, but most of all, she enjoyed being with her family. Mrs. Lillie Pearl Paxton leaves to cherish her memory: 2 daughters, Tamikia (Jose) Miller and Lisa Dowell; son, Eddie Paxton, Jr.; grandchildren, Dorian, Mister, Katrina, Roneshia, Joi, Jakira, Jaylen, Jakaylen, Tamara, Sharneka, Eddie III, Ericka, Keyanna, Christopher and Brandon Paxton, Erik Cassel, Robert Dowell, Randy, Brandy, Leonardo Johnson and D’Mitri McGree, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Ellis, Javon, Zaria, Malachi McCree, Ayrinique, Demontea, Deontea, and Kewan; sister, Barbara Kemp; 3 nieces, Jacqueline, Carolyn and Denise Evans; 2 nephews, Jerome and Jermaine Evans; 3 aunts, Lois Simpson, Sadie Barr and Louella Evans; a host of cousins; sister-in-law, Julia (Rev. John) Jenkins; brother-in-law, Walter Paxton, Sr.; a host of other relatives and friends including, Anthony and Calvin Paxton, Lula and Bubba Brown, John Lee Evans, Judith Cabine, Sadie Burks, Debra White, John C. Jenkins and Timothy Jenkins.
