MILLER, Mrs. Lillie Mae - Age 67, passed away Monday, February 27, 2017 at Genesys Health Park. Family hour 10:00 AM Tuesday, March 7, 2017 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM Rev. Joseph Jenkins officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:00 AM Tuesday. Mrs. Miller will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM Monday. Mrs. Lillie Mae Miller age 67, answered the Lord’s call on Monday, February 27, 2017 at Genesys Health Park. She was born December 19, 1949 in West Memphis, Arkansas, the daughter of Theado Sr. and Frances Robertson. Lillie was a faithful member of New Heaven Missionary Baptist Church. She served on the Mother’s Board and Planning Committee. Lillie was employed for many years at the Flint Board of Education. After retirement she served as a Foster Grandparent. She was beautiful person that loved her husband and children deeply. Lillie cherished her family and church family. Her favorite time was gatherings with all of her family. The door of her home was always open and everyone was welcome. Lillie’s hobbies were cooking, Bingo and watching Family Feud. Her greatest passion in life was working with children and helping people. Everyone that came into her life was well loved by her. Mrs. Lillie Mae Miller leaves to cherish her memory: husband, Charlie Miller Sr. of Flint; 2 daughters, Tyesha and Threda; 5 sons, Floyd, Carey (Lillie), Timothy (Barbara), LaRon (LaShawndra) and Charlie (Amber); 19 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Katie of Chicago, IL, Diana and Hattie; 4 brothers, Theado Jr. (Helen), Sammie (Karol), James and Lacy, all of Flint; 5 sisters-in-law, Sarah, Ollie, Lena (Charles), Ruby and Betty; 3 brothers-in-law, Cecil (Pauline), William (Frances) and Jack (Teresa), 11 nieces; 13 nephews; uncle, Stewart Turner; a host of cousins including, Sam (Paulette); a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Louise, Rosie, Shelly, Gran Mom Lee, Mrs. Phillips, Denise and Marilyn. Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her parents, Theado Sr. and Frances Robertson; sister, Catherine R. Mosley; brothers, Big Jim, T.J. and Harold Robertson; mother-in-law, Mable Sanders Edwards Miller; sister-in-law, Rosie; brothers-in-law, Bennie, Cecil Jr., Pete and Otis; and god-parents, William Black and Lillie Mae Franklin. The family would like to express special thanks to Pastor Joseph Jenkins and the New Heaven Missionary Baptist Church family, Pastor Andre Williams Sr. and the Greater Galilee Missionary Baptist Church family.
