Mr. Levertis Wynn

WYNN, Mr. Levertis - Age 71, passed away Saturday, August 24, 2013 at McLaren-Flint. Family hour 10 a.m. Saturday, August 31, 2013 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11 a.m. Apostle Charles Dantzler, officiating. Interment River Rest Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10 a.m. Saturday. Mr. Wynn will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 2-8 p.m. Friday. Mr. Levertis “Huck” Wynn Sr. was born April 4, 1942 in Parkin, Arkansas, the son of Shelvy and Mandy Wynn. He attended school in Parkin, AR, and graduated from Central High School, “Class of 1960.” Levertis was employed by General Motors, retiring in 1993 after 28 years of service. He was known for his “Superman” capabilities and loving personality. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, sports and working on cars. Levertis was an all-around handyman for everyone. He loved spending time with his family and friends and his boys: Levertis “Tre” Wynn, Lucas Wynn, Lorenzo (Sports) Nelson Jr. and Malachi (Champ) Wynn. Mr. Levertis “Huck” Wynn Sr. leaves to cherish his memory: devoted wife and best friend for 28 years, Bonnie Wynn; daughters, Ebony (Terry) Powell, Hiroshima Wynn, Malaysia Wynn, Sheena Fant, Sheba (Brice) Abrams, Chequtta (Donny) Evans and MoQuetta Brown; sons, Leviticus Wynn, Roderick (Jill) Wynn, Daniell Johnson, Levertis (Tihesha) Wynn Jr., and Anastasius Brown; 35 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brothers, James Wynn, Shelvy Wynn Jr. and Ricky Atikens, sister, Betty Wynn; aunt, Irene Cole; 4 sisters-in-law, Sharon (Daryl) Wells, Bernice (Harvey) Marve, Beverly (Will) Watkins and Cheryl McGregory; brother-in-law, Marcell (Demitri) McGregory; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and special friends including, Chuck Garrison, Willie Murdock, Mr. Woody, Henry Royster Jr., Clovis Watts, Bro. John McCoy and Donald Roberts; special cousin, Joyce Williams. Mr. Wynn Sr. was preceded in death by father, Shelvy Wynn; mother, Mandy Wynn; mother-in-law, Catherine McGregory; uncle, Johnnie Cole; sister-in-law, Ruth Wynn; brother-in-law, J.B. McGregory; grand-daughter, Valerie Evans; and special friend, Calvin Hamilton.
