Mr. Leroy "Stagalee" Bowling Jr.

BOWLING, Mr. Leroy Jr. "Stagalee" - Age 53, passed away Monday, June 7, 2021. Family hour 11:45 AM Thursday, June 17, 2021 Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, 1610 W. Pierson Rd., with funeral service commencing at 12:45 PM, Pastor Ralphael Read officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 1:30 PM Thursday. Mr. Bowling will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Wednesday. Mr. Leroy Bowling Jr. “Lil Stagalee” was born November 20, 1967 in Los Angeles, California, the son of Leroy Sr. and Betty Bowling. Leroy was the youngest child of 4 from this union. He accepted Christ at a young age. Leroy graduated from Leuzinger High School in Lawndale, CA. Shortly after he began working at LAX Airport. In 1998, he moved to Flint, Michigan and 10 years later he met and married the love of his life, Ericsha Nunley and began a family. Leroy enjoyed traveling with his family, fishing, playing Dominos, Spades and watching sports. He also loved cooking and barbecuing. Leroy enjoyed watching people taste his food and try to guess the ingredients in the recipe. Everyone loved his ribs, macaroni & cheese, and fried turkey. Leroy would not give anyone his recipes and often challenged others telling them that his food tasted better than theirs.
