BRANCH, Ms. Lenise Rochelle - Age 67, passed away Monday, January 9, 2023, at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10:30 AM Saturday, January 21, 2023, at Vernon Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church, 5802 Dupont St., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM, Pastor Douglas Banks, officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the Church 10:30 AM Saturday. Ms. Branch will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd. and may be viewed from 12:00 PM-6:00 PM Friday. Ms. Lenise Rochelle Branch was born March 4, 1955 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Mary Alice and JT Branch. Lenise was a resident of Flint. She attended and gained in education at Mt. Morris / Flint Beecher High School. Lenise was baptized at an early age and a member of Vernon Chapel AME Church. She gained employment at Flint General Hospital as an Aide and also at a restaurant. Lenise enjoyed cooking, shopping at her favorite stores, spending time with friends and family, helping others, staying dressed to impress and loving on those who loved on her. Lenise was known for her nurturing heart and being free spoken. No one was ever a stranger to her as she knew plenty of people and was loved by many. Ms. Lenise Rochelle Branch leaves to cherish her memory: partner of 20 years, Ricky Murphy; daughter, Devin M. Logan; grandchildren, Annitre Branch, De’Vari Brackett, Anniya Branch, Leonard Dortch Jr., Antonio Dortch, all of Flint; mother, Mary Alice Branch; 6 sisters, Cherry Lynn Grant, Tracie Hurd-Richardson, Marlynn Branch, Terri Stevenson (Kimbrew), Lisa Hill and Bernice Ray; 3 brother, Anthony Branch (Tawana), Tyrone Littlejohn (Cindy) and Jerry Hartwell (Patricia); a host of nieces and nephews; uncle, Charles Logan of West Virginia; special daughter & cousin, Sheri Logan; god-daughter, Javonka Thorns; a host of other relatives and friends including, best friend, Janis Thorns, other friends, Tika Gray, Burt and Tyler family, Bray family and Lucy Bordan. Ms. Branch was preceded in death by her son, Andre Earl Branch; father, JT Branch; grandmother, Mrs. James Anna Dunkling; and grandfather, Arthur Dunkling.
