DRAKE, Ms. Laura Ann - Age 49, passed away Monday, June 30, 2008 at her residence. Family Hour 10:30AM Tuesday, July 8, 2008 from the chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11AM. Rev. Ronnie Wiggins officiating. Interment River Rest Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:30AM Tuesday. Ms. Drake will lie in state in the chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12Noon-8PM Monday. Ms. Laura A. Drake was born May 25, 1959 in Dekalb, Mississippi, the daughter of Finest K. & Gloria Kirkland and biological father, Lawrence Calloway. Laura moved to Syracuse, NY in 1962, where she attended school. In 1977, she moved to Flint, Michigan. Laura accepted Christ at an early age. She enjoyed fishing, eating, singing, dancing and watching scary movies. Ms. Laura Drake leaves to cherish her memories: daughters, Tori Drake; grandchildren, Donte’ Allen and Ca’naja Garret; parents, Finest K. & Gloria Kirkland and biological father, Lawrence Calloway; 3 sisters, Denia S. Kirkland, Ameshia S. Kirkland and Sharon Calloway; 4 brothers, Jefferson F. (Sheila) Kirkland, Virgil (Cookie) Calloway, Dewayne (Sandy) Calloway, Carl (Sharon) Calloway; 5 nieces, Brittney Kirkland, Denika Johnson, Sajaya Rison and Breana Kirkland; 3 nephews, Lavelle Kirkland, JaCorey Rison and Jerimah Kirkland; aunts, Vera (Berlyn) Clark, Sylvia Anderson, Johnnie Drake, Ora Germany, Annette (Sam) Robert, Viola (Walter) Whidbee, Pauline (Mack) Clemons, Mary (J.E.)
