CAMBELL, Mrs. Laura Frances - Age 60, passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at her residence. Family hour 10:00 AM Saturday, January 19, 2019 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM Pastor Kenneth L. Stewart officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10:00 AM Saturday. Mrs. Cambell will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM Friday. Ms. Laura Frances Cambell was born August 1, 1958 in Holly Springs, Mississippi, the daughter of Flora Ella Campbell and Elmo Lyles. She accepted Christ at an early age. Laura lived her life helping family and friends. She was a good mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend. Laura attended Sand Flat Elementary School in Mt. Pleasant, MS and Flint Northern High School. She was a dedicated worker as a Caregiver for LADD, Inc. Laura loved Bingo, playing cards, going to the casino, family gatherings and hitting the highway. Ms. Laura Frances Cambell leaves to cherish her memory: 3 daughters, Tameka “Mick” Campbell, Tyesha “Tiny” (Chauno) Campbell and Tonya “Shaka” LeSears; son, Travis LeSears; she also raised ShaVonne Morgan, Destiny Douglas-Campbell and Francis Morgan; 8 grandchildren, Ka’Ron Campbell, Keonte Campbell, Kourtney Campbell, Korey Campbell, Chauno Harris Jr., Kalia Price, Jihod Nicholson, Kiyan LeSears and Kimani LeSears; 2 great-grandchildren, Jah’Marrion Goff and Ke’Nyla Campbell, all of Flint; 6 sisters, Rochell (Scotty) Lyles, Lisa (Eardis) Porter-Alexander, Shonney Porter, Lamiya Lyles-Horrisey, Sherry (Ken) Lloyd and LaTanya (Billy) Coleman; 2 brothers, Elmore Campbell and Willie (Barbara) Campbell, both of Holly Springs, MS; 2 aunts, Flossie Lee Woodson and Johnnie Hughes; 32 plus special nieces and nephews; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Yvette Milton and Jerry Mitchell. Ms. Cambell was preceded in death by her parents, Flora Ella Campbell and Elmo Lyles; 2 grandmothers; 3 sisters, Yvonne Morgan, Lucille Miles and Lillian Ann Sigman; 2 brothers, Robert Morgan and Johnny “Michael” Lyles; uncle, Johnny Wood; nephew, Quintevis Lyles; special cousins, LaVern Brown and Stanley Woodson; special friends, Diane “Di” Royster, L.C.
