SAMUELS, Mrs. Lashieka Kapri - Age 39, passed away Thursday, August 7, 2025 in Fort Wayne, IN. Family hour 10:30 AM Monday, August 25, 2025 at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, G-6415 Clio Rd., Mt. Morris, MI, with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM. Pastor Wallace Hill III, officiating. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:30 AM Monday. Mrs. Samuels will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM Sunday. In Loving Memory, It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Lashieka Kapri Samuels, who departed this life on August 7, 2025, at the age of 39. Lashieka was a cherished mother, granddaughter, niece and friend whose kindness, passion, and spirit touched the lives of all who knew her. Early Life, Born on September 10, 1985, in Flint, Michigan, Lashieka grew up surrounded by family and friends who nurtured her creativity and compassion. From a young age, Lashieka exhibited a remarkable enthusiasm for life and learning.Career and Passions, For 14+ years, Lashieka worked as a CNA, and she was also a proud Walmart Pharmacy Tech. Lashieka had recently pursued a career in phlebotomy, earning her certification where her desire and dedication to work in service of others earned the respect and admiration of everyone around her. Beyond her professional achievements, Lashieka found joy in spending time with her friends and family, including special longtime partner, Kenneth Wyatt. Family and Community, Lashieka is survived by four sons; Derrice Quinton Ashon Samuels (20), Kevin “KJ” Tyler Nichols, Jr. (19), Jordan William Nichols (18), and Caleb Christian Nichols (17), Beloved Grandmother, Muriel E. (Straham) Samuels, Aunts; Chevas D. Samuels (Phoenix, AZ) and Chaun D. Dean, and a host of cousins and friends who will forever hold dear the memories of her special laughter and love shared together, her mother, Renee Samuels; cousins and friends Angelique Martin, Toye McLaurin, Latoya Martin, Tasha Williams, Gloria Williams and Michelle Finney. Legacy, Lashieka K. Samuels’ legacy is one of warmth, generosity, and unwavering determination. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know and love her. May Lashieka rest in peace, remembered always for her boundless love and the light she brought into the world.
