Ms. Lasandra Getter

GETTER, Ms. Lasandra - Age 34, passed away Saturday, October 12, 2013 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 18, 2013 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11 a.m. Interment Sunset Hills Association, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:30 a.m. Friday. Ms. Getter will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 1-8 p.m. Thursday. Ms. LaSandra Doretha Getter was born Novembr 8, 1978 in East St. Louis, Illinois, the daughter of Doretha Getter and Jessie Getter. LaSandra enjoyed dancing, shopping, taking pictures and joking around. She also loved to eating, having fun, listening to a lot of music, spending time with her son and family. LaSandra was always laughing and kept everyone around her happy. She loved all her sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews and would do anything to help people. One thing about her, she did not play any games about her family. We will miss you Sandy! She leaves to cherish her memory: companion, Samuel Chatman of Flint; son, Terrell Getter; mother, Doretha Getter; 4 sisters, Sabrina (Christopher) Dampier, Jessica Getter, Sharia (Kevin) Winfield and Shelia Jones; 2 brothers, Jessie Jones and Tony Jones, all of Flint; 16 nieces, Jessica Jones, Dewanda Gibson, Sharonda Jones, LaSandra Jones, April Jones, Tiffany Gibson, Doretha Howell, Sharon Howell, Iesha Robinson, Tanika Winford, Selena Winfield, Jordan Dozier, Shaniya Gibson, Kamyri Watson, Sinceer Jones and Taleah Jones; 24 nephews, Antonio Jones Jr., Martell Jones, Troy Williams, Tony Jones, Hubert Hudson, Maurice Hudson, Alvin Hicks, Joseph Jones, Christopher Dampier Jr., Trey Howell, Kayden Dozier, Jayden Campbell, Jeremiah Jones, Jessie Getter, Lavelle Jones, Darius Jones, JaQuan Hall, Antonio Jones III, Ahmir Jones, Jermaine Jessie Jones, Jerome Jones, Jessie Jones Jr., Scott Jones, and Jermaine Jones; 5 aunts, Pearlie Winford, Minnie Winford, Eula Winford, Lula Winford and Mammie (Nate) Cayton, all of Flint and East St. Louis, IL; 3 uncles, Joe Winford of Memphis, TN, Sammy Winford of Jackson, MS and James Winford of East St. Louis, IL; a host of special cousins, other relatives and friends including special friends, Kella Hardaway and Shawn.
