WALKER, Mrs. Lartheen - Age 62, departed this life after a long illness on Saturday, February 4, 2006 at Avalon Hospice. Family hour 11AM Saturday, February 11, 2006 at St. Paul Baptist Church, 2115 W. Coldwater Rd, with funeral service commencing at 12Noon. Rev. James W. Hill, officiating. Rev. Michael Pettigrew, Pastor. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 11AM Saturday. Mrs. Walker will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12Noon-8PM Friday. Mrs. Lartheen Walker was born on December 16, 1943 in Clarksville, Texas, daughter of Mrs. Lena (Miller) Freeman and the late Willie Floyd Miller. Mrs. Walker was a long time member of St. Paul Baptist Church. Lartheen was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who was devoted to her family and church. She loved the Lord and committed herself to helping others, especially children. Mrs. Lartheen Walker leaves to cherish her memory: her husband of 44 years, Bennie Walker; 4 daughters, Andrian (Michael) Tidwell of Portland, OR, Felicia (Kevin) Walker-Stephens of Dallas, TX, Kristie (Reginald) Clegg of Portland, OR, and Elna (Gary) Brown of Jonesboro, AR; granddaughter, Catrice; grandsons, Michael, Keenen, Keyshawn, and Blake; mother, Lena Freeman; brother, Donald (Donna) Miller; 4 sisters, Bobbie Giles, Elaine (Arthur) Griffin, Cinda (Phillip) Royal, and Crystal (Calvin) Johnson, all of Dallas, TX, sisters-in-law, Pauline Abbey and Betty Daniels of Dallas, TX; brothers-in-law, John (Madeline) Walker of Trenton, NJ, Henry, James, Emmitt, Maurel, Robert (Rosie), Samuel (Beth), and Howard (Annie) Walker, all of Flint; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Mrs. Lartheen Walker was preceded in death by her son, Michael Andre Walker; father, Willie Floyd Miller; sister, Linda Miller-Whitlow; and stepfather, Clifton Freeman.
