WILLIAMS, Mr. Larry - Age 35, passed away Thursday, October 11, 2012 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 18, 2012 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd. with funeral service commencing at 11:00 a.m. Min. Spencer Tyler officiating. Interment Gracelawn Community Cemetery, G-5710 N. Saginaw Street. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:30 a.m Thursday. Mr. Williams now lies in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 2 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday. Mr. Larry Darnell Williams was born April 9, 1977 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Larry D. Chatman and Melinda Williams. Larry was the kind of man that would give his last to a stranger. He loved his wife and setting at home watching T.V. and being with his nephew; who’s like a son. Larry was a good man that loved humanity and his family always came first. He was a prayerful man and God meant something to him. Larry was always talking about God and his great works. He worked as a supervisor for Shapen Recycling for a number of years. Mr. Larry Darnell Williams leaves to cherish his memory: fiancée, (loving and devoted of 7 yrs) Vernice Johnson; daughter, MyKeya and son, Keylen; stepchild, Tiana J. Witherspoon; grandchild, Eric Mitchell of North Carolina; mother, Melinda (Samuel) Mosley, father, Larry D. Chatman; grandparents, Velma Williams and Ruthie Mae Chatman; sister, Maurissa L. Williams; special nephew, Tyrone Robertson; 13 aunts, Mennie Pearl, Olivia, Carolyn, Jacqueline, Shirley, Kathleen, Tawanda Chatman, Helen, Pandora, Tracy, Yolanda and Wanda; 4 uncles, Lee, Joe, James Chatman and Marvin L. Williams, Jr.; many beloved cousins, special cousin, Lenell Williams, Cornelius Sturdivant and Brianna Williams; sister-in-law, Dee Dee Johnson; brother-in-law, Marcus Flowers; a host of other relatives and friends, Deon, Detrius and Janarvis, all of Flint. Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his stepfather, Maurice Richard; grandfathers, Marvin L. Williams and Matthew Chatman and aunt, Teresa Williams.
