FOXX, Mr. Lafayette J. "Guy" - Age 23, passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10:30AM Wednesday, October 8, 2008 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing immediately at 11AM, Pastor Rodney Williams officiating. Interment Gracelawn Community Cemetery, G-5710 N. Saginaw St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:30AM Wednesday. Mr. Foxx will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 1PM-8PM Tuesday. Mr. Lafayette J. “Guy” Foxx, Sr. was born May 22, 1985 in Flint, MI, the son of Shelia Brown and Leonard “Bo” Foxx, Sr. Lafayette was a resident of Flint, MI and a member of Second Friendship Baptist Church. He attended Mott Adult High School. Lafayette loved boxing, cars, dogs and making people laugh by telling jokes. He was a great artist. Lafayette also enjoyed being with his family. He leaves to cherish his memory: daughter, Tannah Lynn Foxx; son, Lafayette Foxx, Jr.; parents, Shelia Brown (fiance' Andre Johnson) and Leonard Foxx, Sr.; step parents, Rodney Shepard, Sr., Donna Holiday, and Towana McAdoo; grandparents, Shirley Scott, George Tillmon, and Albert Johnson; 4 sisters, Leola (Charles) Allen, Quiana Shepard, Latoya and Brandi Foxx; 4 brothers, Leonard James Foxx,, Jr., Rodney Shepard, Jr., Michael Shepard and LeQuavis Williams; 2 nephews, Jahad Allen and Shamar Williams; 4 aunts, Robbie (Jamal) King, Cathy Tillmon, Pastor Patricia McQueen and Christina (Habib) Savane; great aunt, Martha Tillmon; 2 uncles, Todd (Beverly) Tillmon and George Tillman, Jr.; great uncle, John Tillmon; host of cousins other relatives and friends including special friends, James Elbert, Quantez “Pluk” Kidd, LaTasha Fiavier, Mrs. Lois (Jeff) Donaldson and Kevin. Mr. Foxx was preceded in death by his grandmother, Patricia D.Brown-Woodley; and host of relatives.
