Kirk Campbell

CAMPBELL, Mr. Kirk Allen - Age 53, passed away Saturday, June 3, 2006 in Belfast, Tennessee. Funeral service 1:30PM Saturday June 10, 2006 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd. Pastor Norman Booker officiating. Interment Lovedale Memorial Cemetery, G-5175 E. Bristol Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 1:30PM Saturday. Mr. Campbell will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 12Noon-8PM Friday. Mr. Kirk Allen Campbell was born August 9, 1952 in Flint, the son of James and Lucille Campbell. In 1972, he graduated from Beecher High School. He later joined the United States Marine Corp, and was stationed in North Carolina. Kirk later attended Mott Community College. He was employed at GM Fisher Body in Flint for years. After moving to Tennessee, making this his home, he worked for the Saturn Plant as an Operating Technician. Kirk loved life, and he always found pleasure with nature. He was very much an outdoorsman enjoying activities such as: fishing, hunting, gardening and watching his harvest. He loved working on his house, improving every detail. He put all his work into his previous house from floors to wall trimmings but that house burned down and he lost everything in the fire. This couldn't keep Kirk down for long. He immediately started over again with the help of friends he met along the way and his family. It was a long process to have all that you worked on through the years taken away and have to start over, but he had another home built with every detail covered. Everyday he worked on his house. Kirk met several good friends and neighbors that helped to build his house. His house finally became a home. It was his determination that kept him going along with his friends and family who will always love him. Mr. Kirk Allen Campbell leaves to cherish his memory: daughter, Briana Campbell of Belfast, TN; son, Caresian(Tena) Campbell of Flint; stepson, Thomas Decenna; 2 grandchildren, Tyler and Kyle Campbell of Flint; mother, Lucille Campbell; sister, Evelyn Keahey of Montrose, MI; 2 brothers, Larry Campbell of Flint, Bruce Campbell of Pittsburg, PA; 4 nieces, Gina, Laura, Brandie, Shanice; 6 nephews, Lamar, Terran, Terrell, Jason, James, Bryan; 5 aunts, Velma Hughes and Mae Ruth Bright of Seattle, WA, Dorothy Trudeaux of Scranton, AR, Barbara Ramos of South Carolina, Pauline Collins of Fort Smith, AR; 6 uncles, Chester, Robert, John and Lester Poole of Scranton, AR, Charles Poole of Spring Valley, NY, Ray Poole of Connecticut; 2 sisters-in-law, Wanda Campbell of Flint, Jeanean Campbell of Pittsburg, PA; 2 brothers-in-law, John Keahey, Larry Baker both of Flint; a host of cousins, many relatives and friends including special friend, Eileen Lewis, Bob Norton, Larry Jones, "Re-Run" all of TN. Mr. Kirk Campbell was preceded in death by father, James Campbell; grandparents, Jack and Nita Poole; sister, Barbara Baker.
