LORICK, Ms. Kimberly T. - Age 53, passed away Friday, August 21, 2015 at McLaren-Flint. Family hour 10 a.m. Saturday, August 29, 2015 at City of Faith, 3202 Forest Hill Ave., Flint, MI, with funeral service commencing at 11 a.m. Pastor Patricia Williams officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Association, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10 a.m. Saturday. Ms. Lorick will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12 p.m. - 8 p.m. Friday, with the family present from 2:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. Ms. Kimberly Tyiska Lorick made her heavenly transition on August 21, 2015 with her loving family by her side. Kimberly was born October 20, 1961 in Flint Michigan; the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cleveland and Millie Lorick. Kimberly was the fifth child among 9 siblings. She graduated from Flint Northern High School, “Class of 1980”. She continued her education and attained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Work/Criminal Justice from the University of Michigan-Flint, in 1993. Kim retired from the State of Michigan in 2015 and was a member of UAW local #6000. Kim was a Born-again Christian. She was a previous member at Bethesda Temple in 1990, where she served in the Praise and Worship Ministry, and was baptized in 1996. She later moved her membership to City of Faith where she enjoyed the Word of God, songs of praise and fellowship. Kim loved the Lord and she had an uncanny revelation of God’s love and His forgiveness. “God is good and He has been good to me and our family”, she proclaimed on many occasions. Kim loved her family, and her grandchildren brought her great pleasure and delight. She loved gatherings where she could visit with everyone and enjoy good food. Kim loved giving to her children, family, friends, and anyone in need. She enjoyed baking, listening to music, and had a passion for classic cars. She also loved her cat, Engine very much. Ms. Kimberly Tyiska Lorick leaves to cherish her memory: daughters, SaVille Gibson, Billie (Michael) Mitchell and Kimberly (Edward) Lorick; grandchildren, Brandon “Kai”, Alexandra “Ally”, Michael “Mikey”, Gabriel “Gaby” and McKenzie “Kenzie”; sisters, Joanna (Winston) Ross and Sunserria Lorick; Brothers, Lown, Ronald, Cleveland (Lawanna) Lorick Jr., and Hoxseola “Tate” Lorick, all of Flint; uncle, Lucious Williams of Albany, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including special friends, Johnnie Walker, Lenitta Gibson, Wendy McIntosh and Lisa Mitchner. Ms. Lorick was preceded in death by parents, Cleveland and Millie Lorick; grandparents, Lown and Ruby Allen, and Sylvia Conway; sister, Arletta Sylmon; brother, Gregory Lorick.
