Mr. Kevin Royce Rawls

RAWLS, Mr. Kevin Royce - Age 63, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2019 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at Mt. Tabor Missionary Baptist Church, 115 Welch Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 12:00 PM Pastor Floyd Fuller, officiating. Interment Lovedale Memorial Cemetery, G-5175 E. Bristol Rd. Burton, MI. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 11:00 AM Tuesday. Mr. Rawls will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM Monday with the family present from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM to receive friends. Mr. Kevin Royce Rawls was born May 30, 1955 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Joseph Sr. and Ida France Lundy-Rawls. Kevin departed this life on Sunday, March 17, 2019 at Hurley Medical Center. He accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Mt. Tabor Missionary Baptist Church. Kevin attended Flint Northern High School and was employed at General Motors Corporation for 17 years. He loved painting and building on cars. Kevin was also known for various jobs as a Skilled Masonry and Forklift Operator. Lastly, he was known for his CB Handle where he received the name “Over Easy”. Mr. Kevin Royce Rawls leaves to cherish his memory: devoted and beloved life partner of 33 years, Annetta Frazier of Flint; 2 daughters, Nikkiea Q. Rawls of Columbus, OH and Kendra L. Rawls (Demario Thomas) of Flint; 3 step-children, Anita Frazier of Niagara Falls, NY, Darnell (Tracy) Lock of Burton, MI and Anthony Frazier of Charlotte, NC; grandson, Josiah Thomas and unborn granddaughter of Flint; step-grandchildren, Lonnie Frazier, Akalia Frazier, Diamond Scales, all of Grand Rapids, MI, Iyonika Frazier of Charlotte, NC, Ebonie and Ethan Lock, both of Burton, MI; 3 sisters, Lula (Floyd) Fuller of Grand Blanc, MI, Ella (Melvin) Williams of Atlanta, GA and Connie Rawls of Gainesville, FL; 5 brothers, David Rawls I of Warren, MI, Ronald Rawls of Gainesville, FL, Joseph (Ronda) Rawls II, Reginald Rawls, both of Flint an Eric Rawls of Grand Blanc, MI; adopted grandson, Jeremiah Thomas; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including special friends, LaVern Lock and Grant Nance. Mr. Rawls was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Sr. and Ida Rawls; brother, Walter Jackson; and brother, Haze Rawls. The family would like to express special thanks to Hurley Medical Center 4th Floor Nurses Station and ICU, University of Michigan Medical Center. Also, special thanks to our Mt. Tabor Missionary Baptist Church family and Gospel Temple Missionary Baptist Church family.
